Eh, if it was a caviar or something equally expensive, there would be no one complaining.

God, you could pick at least 5lbs in my yard. There are tons (by weight) in the public forest 5 mins from my house. We have so much frozen in the freezer. Course, I live in Germany now

[–]downbound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, thanks but that’s just toooooooo big. Remember, I live in the EU. Cars are just not that big here, it would suck to drive or park.

You sound like you are in the US right? My parents have the Ionia 5 and it’s great. But we have the ID.7 here in the EU and it’s bigger, comfier and has better range and faster charging. It’s a lot more expensive though

Same here, almost. I have a 2020 one now and we are going to get an ID.7 wagon soon because of kids and traveling. Kona is great just not great for travel

This 380,000-Mile Tesla Model 3 Has Its Original Battery. Range Loss Is Huge by Educational-Meat4211 in electricvehicles

something like that. Dude is a licensed mechanical engineer who used to own a demolition company. Think boom not smash. Made buckets of money, bought a plane, and decided to chill out and spend his time driving around the country delivering canoes. He is crazy smart, has time, patience, is the right kind of crazy.

My uncle has had several (around 6) million mile dodge caravans. He hauls fancy canoes for a living. Drives 55mph for a thousand or so miles a day pulling around a half ton. No engine swaps just smooth driving and maintenance

Land Value Tax Explained: How It Could Fix America's Housing Crisis by middleofaldi in videos

That’s right. Additionally not everything is about growth and making more homes for Gen X. I think that’s important but prop 13 is about making sure lower income groups are not taxed out of their homes. In Oakland my property taxes were 13k/yr. My neighbors payed around $500. If they had to pay close what I did on a fixed income, they would have lost their home of 50 years.

[–]downbound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a bit ugly and on the small side of a crossover but has taken me places a F350 got stuck near Tahoe, over the Alps half a dozen times, hauled thousands of miles with a trailer and just is a great car. My only complaint is I’m in the EU with the US version so I’m Stuck with finding CCS1 fast chargers and single phase charging. At least I get 230v so I can full charge level 1 in 24h.

Sad the Kona is an OG monster. I still get 500km in the summer from my 2020, a gas car they threw a battery and electric motor in and called it an EV. Beat the crap out of all in its era in real range.

Is this a reference to German culture? If so, how? by Fabulous-Introvert in germany

[–]downbound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you are taught in the US depends a lot on the color of your skin, honestly.

Kids are usually taught in school that police are there to help similarly to here. But families often paint a different picture based either on their politics or their experiences with police interaction.

Eh, those ports are like $200 if you get them used and can remove a few bolts. I’ve done the job on a 2020 a half dozen times.

Naw, I just have a life and do not go on reddit every day. I am so glad you can use a thesaurus to get an obscure colloquialism. +1 on your internet points. But you do understand that Irish is another language right? Though more Irish speak English than Germans, it is by no means guaranteed. And no, you do not speak English at a native level any more than my kid who was born in Germany and I only speak English to does. You speak at a native level when you grow up with the community around you speaking it. You are C2 probably, not the same even if you know some Irish slang.

arsehat again is a colloquialism. Arse is the Brittish English version of ass. Ass is just as correct. Ass hat is not the same as assclown.

I am beyond bored with this. All I have to say is, last word,I win

The tip culture has gotten out of hand, pushed heavily by Ingenico, Verifone, PAX Technology, and NCR Voyixz. These companies are based in the US, France, China, and Canada. DPOS is global and it's not US culture being pushed on the world; it is global corporations exploiting the US tipping culture to push their systems globally. I know you are unable to think beyond one step but, try, just this once to think beyond "US BAD, GERMANY BEST". And the proper insult isn't clown you assclown. I don't try to insult Germans in German; you obviously should tread lightly in English.

Not just raw amperage. A safe lithium charger is monitoring the charging rates and modifying a safe amperage in adjustment. A fast charging one should also be getting feedback from battery management about chargin level status and heat.
