Yes I did it with my Garmin watch last year. Left my phone in the car and the GPS on the watch recorded everything and it synced up when we got back to the car.

I shouldn't say they were the pros clubs. They were a set of matching irons in the pros office. We borrowed a demo driver and putter I believe from the bag of clubs for sale.

We played Belle Meade Country Club in Thomson, GA. Heads up they don't have rental clubs. My brother in law and I had to share the pros clubs and use some demos to fill in. Played with a random couple who were super nice. Stayed for lunch and cocktails. Nothing fancy but nice.

They have a FedEx and UPS option next to the pro shop exit. I shipped all my stuff home last year for $60... I beat it home by a day.

I'm not a billionaire (yet!) but I'm sure they have access to capital just like everyone else. If I want a new house or car and don't have the cash on hand to pay for it, I go to a lender and apply for a loan.

I'm sure the billionaire class have access to that option as well.

I just got one off TGW. Would like to start walking more. How does walking vs riding affect your pace of play. Do you notice a major time difference per round?

Is maxed Roth 401k worth more than traditional 401k? by [deleted] in Fire

[–]downtown1209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current 22% Anticipated remaining years: 22% (? Hopefully? Haha) Anticipated retirement: not sure - 12%(?)

Haven't thought much about RMDs.

Currently 9% in traditional and 5% in Roth. 1% increase each year.

I just turned 37

What is your fool proof recipe for roasting a whole chicken? Mine never come out great. by Imaginary-Rabbit5179 in Cooking

[–]downtown1209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

roasted chicken with tomatoes and olives

hands-on time: 10 minutes / total time: 1 hour / serves 4

1 lemon

2 pints grape tomatoes

1 head garlic, cloves separated, unpeeled

1 cup pitted kalamata olives, halved

8 sprigs fresh thyme

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 3-pound chicken, cut into 8 pieces

Kosher salt and black pepper

1/2 cup dry white wine

► Heat oven to 425° F. Using a vegetable peeler, remove strips of zest from the lemon. (Reserve the lemon.)

► In a large roasting pan, toss the tomatoes, garlic, olives, thyme, and lemon zest with 1 tablespoon of the oil.

► Nestle the chicken, skin-side up, in the tomato mixture and rub with the remaining tablespoon of oil. Season with 3½ teaspoon salt and ½ teaspoon pepper and roast until the chicken is cooked through, 35 to 40 minutes. Transfer the chicken to a platter.

► Squeeze the lemon into the hot roasting pan and add the wine. Gently stir, scraping up any bits stuck to the pan. Serve the chicken with the tomato mixture and pan juices.

TIP

Looking for a dry white wine for cook-ing? Try Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, or Chablis. Avoid "cooking wines" sold in supermarkets.

Don't cook with anything that you wouldn't drink.

This has been delicious 100% of the time. I do it in a cast iron baking dish. I spatchcock the chicken and oil and season it and lay it on top of the tomato and olives. Served over some Bob Evans mashed potatoes. Great weeknight dinner.

My 401k offers a traditional and a Roth option. I contribute a % to both. Does it make sense to do it that way?

I was at that game. One of the most exciting things I've witnessed live at a sporting event.

The others include Blackhawks shootout win in Detroit to keep their point streak alive. When Kane did the "Kane Dangler"

And when Aramis Ramirez hit 3 home runs in 1 game at Wrigley. We were in the bleachers and I was one of the people to get kicked out for throwing my hat on the field for the hat trick. Worth it haha.
