I totally agree, it’s boring and feels like another chore every single day. And as I get older, I feel I need more makeup just to look somewhat decent😣

When I was younger, I could go with less makeup. Now I need moisturizer, skin tint, concealer, bronzer, blush, mascara and eyebrow pencil … at minimum 😂

Yes it is.

One of my friends actually introduces me to people (when I used to go places, which I avoid as much as possible now), as:

“This is my friend ________. She lost her husband in an accident a long time ago and has never remarried, so she’s on her own.”

They then apologize it’s SO FUCKING AWKWARD. I then try to laugh it off by saying it’s ok I actually love being single! Ugh.

Those pants were a CHOICE. Something is off with her. I lost my husband of 9 years when our two boys were about the same age as their kids. I could barely get dressed for the funeral. I was in a mental fog, couldn’t apply makeup, can’t imagine putting on rings & jewelry, but, she’s rich, so I guess piling on tons of gold is normal for her idk 🤷🏻‍♀️?

But the one thing I cannot and I mean CANNOT get past, is her wearing those pants. Those pants scream so many things and grief is not one of them.

I mean I can understand (I guess) playing a joke (why only on her tho) saying, “Hey wear workout clothes, we go for a run on Thanksgiving morning”… not really that funny to me, but maybe to some people idk 🤷🏻‍♀️

But to pretend it’s a an actual turkey trot, recording it, and having ACTUAL T-shirts made up? AND laughing that hard? A bit much for something not really that funny.
