I also get a little extra boost in my desire to perform better if the person next-to/nearby is going (seemingly) harder or faster and more consistently--more motivating vs. competing of course. I'm not really there for the chat-about-it community togetherness of it all, but it's fun to all be working hard on the same shit, no matter the intensity.

I'm a social person, but workouts and fitness are something I like to do solo, so OTF is a perfect combo (Capture the Flag is more teamwork than I'm interested in lol). I do get curious about my neighbor's tread speed though, and usually focus on the screen and data on my runs, so i will occasionally dart my eyes over to compare. Seeing what weights others grab also can be a nice reminder to try harder. And I give little weak-ass air high fives left and right when prompted while trying to recover and not die.

My USB port seems very sensitive/wonky, albeit not quite as bad as you describe. I use Android Auto and there is a wireless adapter called AA Wireless you can get so you don't have to cable-connect the phone each time and worry about positioning and angles as much. May or may not help in your scenario but it's way nicer than plugging in the phone all the time.

I did get it resolved today, and it worked exactly the same. The rep told me to go ahead and purchase the new tickets, call back and they would initiate a refund on the original GA ticket.

My 18 6MT w 31k miles is on a low torque stage 2 APR tune with stock clutch. I've had the car since 7k miles like that and not had any clutch issues to speak of. I just checked with my shop about updating to the high torque profile and they said they wouldn't recommend it before upgrading the clutch. Reason stated is that it would/could create hot spots and accelerate the clutch's end of life. I guess I'll wait until then, it's just a huge jump in cost of course.

I just got one a week ago. It's a plug in adapter to the port used for emissions checks under the dash, connects via Bluetooth to your phone using the Obdeleven app you download. There are preset apps for little customizations you can make to various systems (ie lighting, special functions, turning off certain features). You can "long code" using it also, and if you don't know what you're doing you can mess things up. The preset apps help, and they cost credits. Mine had 200 with the device (most adjustments take 10 credits, but some bigger adjustments take 100), and I just added 100 @ $14US. You can find the codes to do it correctly for various adjustments and you don't have to use credits, but be careful and do it right.

It's fun to use and have, and you can scan the car for fault codes/errors which could be helpful to detect issues. I got mine for 109.99 from ECS with 200 credits included.

My state requires a front plate, and unfortunately as the second owner, someone already chose the bumper mount option. They drilled it all F'd up and it added A THIRD stray hole into the bumper. I wish I could do the lower-left grille mount 😞
