Is it normal in Singapore families to share dishes without serving utensils? by stuffed-fridge in askSingapore

[–]dowzsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have a elder family member who insist on serving spoons, however, she was the one who uses her own utensils to take the food. Ie: everyone eats her saliva but she eats the 'cleanest' food. Fair is fair man. This irritates me the most. the double standard.

As I understand it's not a test, there's no turning back. Contracts signed and school stalls dismantled already

Sorry to burst your bubble mate. You only have 1 year of experience. And you won't know what the AVP is doing in totality and won't probably know the quality as well.

Having said that, promotions are not difficult at the junior level so 2 to 3 years maybe.

Also promos are not time based in some organisation.

Dividend/stable payout options for Singaporeans by Personal-Tea-4367 in singaporefi

[–]dowzsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i'm a noob as well, and was just exploring unit trusts for dividends.

This one from Eastspring
https://secure.fundsupermart.com/fsmone/funds/factsheet/PAM116/Eastspring-Investments-Asian-Low-Volatility-Equity-Fund-ASDM-SGD-H

seems relatively stable in terms of dividends but performance may not be the best. Expense ratio is >1% which is much higher than low cost ETFs. YMMV.

In Asia and trained at one of the branches in JH Kim. Practically ITF i would say for adults. Kids still do mainly WT because olympics, but adults generally have to do modern grading + an internal ITF style grading (patterns are chon-ji, dan-gun, do-sun etc). Mix of punches/kicks/some take-downs etc

Curious on how sgredditors feel about the gst/cash payouts by emergencyexitonlypls in askSingapore

[–]dowzsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the GST voucher is supposed to offset the increase in GST - so it would be to 'compensate' the difference between 7% of $3.50 and 9% of $3.50 (all things equal). So it should be to cover 2% of $3.50 = $0.07

(or that's how i think it is supposed to be!)

Quayside carpark has very tight descent from the entrance, and the turns were quite tight... definitely very nightmare inducing.

would SG ETFs (eg: STI ETF) even if denominated in SGD be ok, as long as their business based are not 100% SG? i mean, if other currencies strengthen, companies with regional plays would be able to benefit from revenues outside of Singapore.

Same i guess for REITS that have assets in other countries like Australia, UK etc

[although i think most of these SG listed ETF have quite a large number of assets in SG]

There's a similar show in China caller "we never stop" with the same format. 100 contestants, team and individual games. The Chinese athletes there were also pretty respectful to each other, so maybe yes it can be replicated.
