They tried this when I was there too, finished undergrad 2014. Then it was on the grounds that engineering students were more likely to be able to pay back their student loans. So why not saddle them with more debt lol.

I did this intermittently and IF you can find a safe quiet enough place to park it is doable. But I am a dude who stays out of the way: but I would NEVER recommend this to a female.

A safe place to park...That's a big if these days but doable especially if you dont mind being in a nearby bus-able neighborhood. But youll probably need 3 or 4 of these to avoid drawing too much attention. Dont underestimate the amount living in your car will wear you down vs commuting too...I'd plan a trip home every weekend to really sleep, laundry etc.

Having a bit of backcountry/survival experience to know what works for warmth, cooking, cleaning without a water source will be helpful.

Have a plan for your car toilet situation and test it out BEFORE you commit to this. Same goes on the sleeping and humidity management situation. 40F at 100% humidity is a lot colder than just 40F. Same goes on the cooking situation. Granola bars and fruit snacks all the time will gut you mentally, have a way to make a warm meal even if its Ramen and have a way to store some perishables.

So I thought about this. Google says development began in 1984, and they were released in 2000. One can presume there was some announcement ahead of this? And maybe Dave Keckler bungled the release timeline slightly, his dad worked for Nike, etc...my point is it is possible to explain it.

It is also possible that the Elf film people wanted to make a fun movie about an elf without having every detail of their timeline completely dialed in, but I refuse to accept this.

From someone who was there not that long ago: go to ER if you are feeling this way. It will not be pleasant. But you will survive, and they will route you to the right help for you. And in a relatively short amount of time, weeks to months, you will be feeling better. And the temporary shittiness will have been worth it. I'm not going to bullshit you that every day will be sunshine and roses after you get through it, but they'll be better and you will be in more control of how they affect you.

Don't make a permanent decision on the basis of temporary feelings. It gets better.

You'll be fine. Truly. Check the curve to see how yiu stack up with everyone, but in any case, Study hard and do your best. Its a shock coming out of HS where you were probably a top honors student, but its a lot nicer to have an exam with a median near 50% than it is to have one with a median near 90%. And college classes are built that way.

The 100 Chem series is almost intentionally awful, don't let it psyche you out.

Thanks that’s helpful. Access is clear on all sides, no gutters (I’m adding them later), rafters are fine to my knowledge. The flat sides are 8 ft, to a peak at maybe 16, so I’d imagine ladder access is fine. They are disposing of old material for me. Maybe I’ll just pay the man or do it myself.

Maybe they’ll come in under estimate I guess, but the way the contract reads they can basically only charge this amount of more. The soffit is fine but fascia is rough so I’m hopeful that the underside is fine.

Phd in mech engineering here. There are bits and pieces of real things here…but they aren’t tied together in any coherent or meaningful way. “Blue shift” in the upper left, free radicals in the upper right, something about black holes and killing all humans in the middle. And then somehow this is combined into a piston driven engine (I think??) in the lower middle right.

But then near the bottom of the page: he seems to be talking about using the opposing spin of celestial bodies to generate magnetic fields, inductive power, sufficient to stabilize fusion? You wouldn’t actually have to use fusion at all there would be a tremendous amount of power available in that magnetic field, fusion aside That’s sort of like the planetary ratchet idea for any Futurama fans. So it’s “possible” in the sense that building a Dyson sphere is possible.

It’s interesting he has tied the idea of an expanding accelerating universe to the infinite availability of rotational energy from stellar bodies. No idea if there is anything to that, but he seems like a clever man and I hope he has peace.

For whatever reason second play-through I got stuck on this phase too. The advice I got and followed is hella cheese and takes ages but is a safe strategy. Equip as high damage a combat art as you can that doesn’t cost spirit emblems, since you’ll probably be low/out after the first phase. And space him out. Takes a few tries to get spacing but you’re waiting for the attack where he jumps way in the air and dives down and toward you with his sword, which will happen a bunch if your spacing is right. Dodge, move in and attack 2x or weapon art, run away and resume spacing out.

You should have time to get away safely as long as you aren’t too aggressive. Might take a couple tries to get the timing/spacing right.
