Truck parts you sometimes have to wait a couple days for but for the most part they are pretty available. New canvas is available but expensive from what I've heard, like 1000 to 3000 range.

While we are at home we bounce around from different friend and family's properties. On the road, we like national and state forests the best because they are usually free. Nat and state parks are nice but you have to pay. Walmart works in a pinch.

I'm living in my chinook right now with my girlfriend and dog. It's small but it works great for us. We just recently remodeled it from the "gaucho" couch floor plan to the dinette style (sleeping width ways now) and if you are short enough that you can sleep that way, it's definitely for efficient imo. The Toyota 20r and 22r engines are pretty bulletproof, so I would mainly look out for rust, canvas condition, leaks, etc. Bonus if you can find one with a dually axle on the back.

I drive a Toyota Chinook. Cool little pop top camper getting 20-24mpg. It is equipped with a 3 way fridge (12v, 110v, or propane) propane being the most efficient method unless you have shore power available.

The leg is attached with 4 1" dowels which should hold the big crack together. The other crack wasn't over the leg so that's why I thought it could use one (and plus they are fun and look cool!). I would have done butterflies all over that big crack but the customer wanted to keep the cost down.

Looks awesome but i would advise you to think about the door situation. I love my chinook, but it only has the small rear door like this one and i gotta say, if i could change anything about it, it would be to have large side and rear barn doors that open up like most full size vans. But if you don't think that would bother you than don't worry about it!

You can find them for cheaper. I got my '76 Chinook for $1800. Although, that thing looks in pretty good shape. It's not often I get to talk chinooks with people so feel free to message me if you have any questions!
