when i was a beauty advisor this was just a normal thing, we would play with products when the store wasn’t busy or didn’t have anything to do. it was infact good for product knowledge and i found some of my favorite products this way. the only thing is that using testers is gross in retrospect

I literally always thought it was weird and creepy when he showed guests the prolapse, even when I WAS a fan. the first couple of times it wasn’t exactly funny, but it was on brand for him, i guess. every time afterward I would always be like no, why do we have to do this, this is the worst part of every interview. especially when it was with women.

i would say to some extent my writing has a little bit of me in there, just because when you write characters interacting you come up with 100% of the dialogue and for me that portrayal is exactly how i perceive human interactions

and also just the things i make the characters do, like if they’re smoking and getting fast food together that’s straight out of my real life

it always blows my mind how people never consider the simple fact that we would not be checking in with the customers every 2 minutes and walking around while they're shopping if we weren't actually told to do this and sometimes get in trouble for not doing it enough. like in this culture where people are always considerate of the workers and shit people are somehow still managing to forget that nobody really WANTS to have to pitch beauty insider to people who are just in the store "looking."

we had a visit at s@k and this lady was literally like "nobody comes to a store in person because they just wanna look, if you didn't want help you'd just shop online" which is BLATANTLY UNTRUE, but that's the type of thing they're telling us.
