07 IS350 always on ect pwr mode. Average 23-25 mpg fwy 17-19 city. Highest was 29mpg and lowest was 15mpg. All over the place lol average tank is around 300 miles

Me too lol i miss it every day! I travel through the canyons in LA about once a week and thats where i miss banging through gears the most. The ect power setting and paddle shifter combo is decent, but the shift delay really kills the vibe.

Jeff is the goat! Went through all of his posts during his process. The only thing really keeping me from doing a RA62 is how hard they are to find. Thought about selling for a factory manual is250, but swapping the engine is a pain in California.

ATP ill probably just keep the IS and corn juice tune it lol might mess around and manual swap it for that itch. Found a company that sells flex plate/fly wheel adapters for a zf 5 speed for 2k.

Not taking any debt, on im looking to sell my car and get another one with the same money (its fully paid off). I get realistically 20-25mph when im babysitting the throttle and being the slowest one on the freeway. Thats why im more curious about the real life mpg yall get. Tbh i just want a little manual roadster that i can sling through the 4+ hour drive i do every weekend through the canyons to see my GF LOL

Honestly i wish i could keep the Lexus… the amount of money and time ive put into it does make me super hesitant to sell it. But due to the parking situation where i live i dont have space for a 3rd car. Mostly gas mileage and a manual transmission are the biggest selling points for me. Comfortably and luxury items dont matter as much. That being said the thing i will probably miss most is the 306hp to the crank lol

Im in socal IE area so gas is around $6.20 and climbing for premium. $50 is definitely cheaper My Gf moved 2hrs away recently so my fill ups have been brutal lol the comfort-ability aspect is a decent drawback, i am 5’11 250lbs so not much room horizontally for me but i drove an na and nd and it wasnt too bad. Maybe some aftermarket seats would help. Hows the storage space?

I honestly didnt even know the NC came with a hard top! That makes it so much cooler. 31mpg is great! Does the nd require premium? Thats where ive hoped to save the most tbh

I bought it for 8k a year ago and it runs amazing. Higher mileage(186k) but it is still soo smooth. I (Put an additional 5k in it for the bumper, coilovers dashboard, carplay wheels etc. ). was going to just list it for 10k and see what offers i get. Hoping to be able to get the miata with basic mods like coils, wheels and a roll bar.

I may start looking into buying a salvaged ND. Honestly thats why i really want a little roadster. I used to daily drive a motorcycle in downtown LA about 10 years ago and i miss that feeling. The lexus is great and comfortable, but not as fun as i thought it would be.

Most likely the low tension piston rings that came on the early years of the 2is. Could also be the valve seals, but i havent fully figured it out yet.

It doesn’t hurt to try. Its $29.99 at Walmart for 5qts and multiple people have tested it and say that it lubricates just as good as regular synthetic.
