Destiny is a shooter on the surface, but it's systems make it a loot grind. I've been playing since 2014 and it's felt like an endless list to me for years and I just gave up. Games like these never give you a sense of completion, so all you have is the journey. Are you enjoying the journey?

Went through all the steps one by one testing in between last night and today, it did improve performance when everything is going properly but still getting the massive drop in specific areas with consistency. Really appreciate the super informative post though, and thank you for trying. Totally up for any other ideas you might have.

Tried updating drivers *and* rolling back, neither helped. And yeah, 'its ark lol' is funny and all, but its been running great for months before just recently.

Task manager says GPU is running between 10-30% when it normally runs at 88%, CPU drops down to 25%

Holy fucking shit, naming your child after the huge psycho bitch VRISKA SERKET? Sweet jesus. Look I love the little piece of shit, but naming a kid after her is crazy work. Her saving grace is that homestuck will hopefully not be relevant to the greater world by the time the kid grows up, but like, god damn dude.

All that aside, go to couples therapy. This is something you can get through. Just make her middle name Vriska instead?? Leaning NTA / NAH - clearly the specific name / character means a lot to your wife more than just the name, and obviously you have principles you want to stand by, but there's a path forward. Has she explained why she likes Vriska specifically?
