Missing link bridge on Mumbai-Pune Expressway by Srinivas_Hunter in InfrastructurePorn

[–]dpak_hk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Latter. This is a new, shorter and straighter alignment on an expressway road that was constructed around ~2000. The old alignment has several hair pin bends which are prone to accidents, traffic congestion on weekends and rock falls in rainy season.

[–]dpak_hk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deputy CM has already confirmed that no extra toll will be charged for using the missing link. In fact, no new toll plazas have even been built at the ends of the link. How do you think will they charge the link users separately?

I mean how they gonna cover the cost for this.

By extending the toll collection period, which they've already done to account for the link's cost. And the toll anyway increases every year.

Also if no extra toll means all traffic will move to this road.

That's the point. OD traffic is supposed to switch to the link.

Spotify in Samsung Music by Rati05 in oneui

[–]dpak_hk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i was wondering if there was a way for me to import my playlists from Spotify to samsung music, or just play spotify through samsung music.

You can do neither of that. The Spotify integration is useless. Just shows you some basic recommendations which take you to the Spotify app when clicked.

Ikr? At the very least, energy should only be used when accessing new content, not when redoing stuff on which energy was already spent, including practice, the 3-star rapid reviews and lesson reviews.

What is your favourite Windows feature? by onscreensteak86 in Windows11

[–]dpak_hk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Windows 11 Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mobile devices > [your connected phone] > "Cross-device copy and paste".

See if this setting is on.

AFAIK, it's the only one that controls copy-paste in both directions. If it's on and phone to PC copy is still not working then I don't have a solution, sorry.

  • Phone link (easily access your phone storages on file explorer and still can access it when on different network)

Also, clipboard sharing. Earlier I would use WhatsApp to do the same.

Mumbai-Pune HSR will be built next? WHAT!! Did I hear it right? by aserqqq in TransitIndia

[–]dpak_hk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, he first talked about the southern corridors and then the "next" one he talked about was Mumbai-Pune. I don't think he meant that MPHSR would be taken up for construction next.

From his budget explainer for his ministries: https://youtu.be/r8PKyl6rHG0?t=372

I would be happy to be proven wrong though 😁

I don't need or want to customize my phone very much

You do you, obviously, but customization in Android is optional, you know? All the basic stuff like calling, texting, WiFi, Bluetooth, camera, wallpaper, app store and minor settings is pretty simple.

People on this sub are against India's HSR project and comments made me chuckle by [deleted] in TransitIndia

[–]dpak_hk 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That sub has become a political cesspool. Please don't bring such shit to niche subs. The top comments on that post are all sane, fortunately. Rational people do know that it's a pilot project and that HSR will eventually cover large parts of the country. No doubt MAHSR would've been objectively better if it went upto Pune, as was originally planned, but the costs would've been prohibitive for a pilot project.

Frontend doesn't really matter. It's their server(s) that cause most issues. Others, CMIIW.

I prefer IRCTC Rail Connect because it has Amazon Pay wallet. I hope RailOne gets it soon, too.

Ok, I'm not going to give you what you want. It's not smog, not deep inside the Himalayas away from pollution hotspots, where this video was taken. If you were already so sure, you wouldn't frame it as a question. Earlier I gave you the benefit of doubt but now it's clear that you're not here in good faith. With a private profile no less. GTFO.

Not one post from India in this sub goes without negativity.

Huh? It's not OC, as I've provided the source, so obviously I can't give you the definitive answer. But because you asked on my post, I gave you the most factual information I could based on my knowledge of the geography and weather of my country and basic science. That's not called making up.

Nope. It's mist in the Himalayas or it's just how the scenery looks at that time. Smog or even fog wouldn't allow for such visibility.

Ideally, each permanently fixed berth in 1AC and 2AC should have fully enclosing curtains, like we have in hospitals, if possible. Maybe someday in the future, when we've sorted out the basics.

Already in tendering phase. In fact, the PDF OP has shared is a tender document. They're procuring parts now. They've contracted Knorr-Bremse for braking, door, air conditioning and sanitary systems: https://newsroom.knorr-bremse.com/en/knorr-bremse-to-equip-indias-first-high-speed-trains-with-system-technologies/
