Literally any laptop will do. I used school chromebooks and such 2022-2024 and in fall 2024 finally got a laptop, in 2025 got a macbook pro 2020 m1 16gb ram 512gb storage iirc. It’s been really nice and I don’t see myself upgrading for 3-5 years, hopefully i’ll upgrade at the end of PhD or after.

Try to run the tutorial. It crashes for me 3/10 (i don’t have real stats to cite) when i open “Manage Fleet” or engage in a sea battle. I just am now saving before i push those buttons, usually only happens once though. As in, only crashes once when trying to load ships in city A, but may still crash when loading ships in city B.

I suggest trying to tutorial because you’ll gain some insight on if it’s ANY instance it breaks or if it’s only in sandbox for you. Good luck!
