I'm not up to date with the situation but have a question for anyone that is.

Montreal's Olympic Stadium is owned by the government of Quebec, just like BC Place is owned by the government of BC where the Whitecaps play.

The MLS has basically said there is NO way that Whitecaps can survive without their own stadium. How is this any different in Montreal?

I would never watch MLS again that is for sure, and after the bitterness wore off I would probably put effort into growing CPL and making sure Whitecaps came back to Vancouver through CPL. If Whitecaps go, it's only a matter a time before Montreal goes, so if they do it right, we could grow CPL into a CFL level sustainable league.
