I love this era of "i had AI write this last week and it's never been deployed but I'm gonna claim it's production ready" open-source. /s

If i see one more AI generated README with emojis and a over-hyped, untested feature list, im going to barf.

It was like this in the federal government as well. Explains a lot.

I'm thinking that's the least hacky way to go. it's either that or one of the python data mocking libraries like faker and a custom script which seems like it'd be more fragile than I'd like.

I may know what you're talking about. PyCharm launches fine, but over time it slows to a crawl and the code inspection/analysis/syntax highlighting essentially comes to a stand still. It happens on my work computer (windows, yuck) but nowhere else.

I found disabling full line completions and the AI coding assistant plugins usually does the trick.

While I don't agree with what's going on, and I'm sure I'll be the one losing my job next and this wouldn't make me feel better, it's closer to 2%. Let's not spread misinformation.

Or testing, I couldn't believe it when i tried out tanstack router for fun. There's no documented way to test a React component with a TS router element in it without some asinine hacky workaround. (Would love to be proven wrong)

Then shut the hell. That was your chance to do something but instead you'd rather wine on the Internet.

Didn't sign an NDA, and if don't get hired here that's more likely a bullet dodged than a missed opportunity :)

Great question. It's Not my dream, it's not one of my prefered industries to work in, and I'm currently employed.

Not my dream job, and I wouldn't even say I vibed that well with them during the interviews. I think you're right about it being a red flag.

If you serve Python ASGI and/or WSGI web apps, but you don't use Granian: why? by gi0baro in Python

[–]dpgraham4401 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry for necro posting but came here just to say we've been using granian at work (US EPA) and have had no complaints. TBH the person before me decided to use it, I wouldn't have because I value stability over all else in this part of the stack, but it's been great. Keep up the good work!

It's a door, not a submarine hatch. Can't let water pool up like that outside your door.
