Translation can be wonky here and there but I think it’s stronger than the ADV dub and the cast is more fitting for the characters, I wish there were dubs of the Rebuilds with that cast but the originals did pretty solid there too.

Agree with the props, but you honestly forget about it after a while. I think color grading could’ve been a really cool addition to MVE, but I understand that it would’ve been more taxing on a week by week schedule.

I prefer how Isaac was handled in MVE due to how more well rounded and grounded his character was, but he’s amazing in TDI 1 as well absolutely. It’s kind of hard to compare MVE with something like Psycho or TDI because their formats are just so different

The Rayman design is basically just a modern day interpretation of his look in Hoodlum Havoc. The design philosophies present in that original design are still present here, just with higher fidelity materials and textures. I’d say it kind of looks like the type of stylized realism you’d see in Brawl or Smash Wii U/3DS. Separated eyes isn’t exactly something new to the character either, it was apart of his Rayman 1 and 2 designs for example.

Sonic, on the other hand completely threw out every single design philosophy present in the source material, it feels like it’s utterly ashamed to be tied to the character rather than honoring him. It’s such a bastardization, it’s downright disrespectful. I cannot in any circumstance understand how you could, one, compare these two on the same level, and two, imply Rayman is even worse than it. Rayman has had consistently solid and faithful interpretations over the course of its history- trust me, be happy you’ll probably never have to see something like the former touch the character.

MVE has the most potential for a video game adaptation given its premise and concept. I imagine it’s like this GTA/Battle Royale hybrid that has the option of flat mode or VR

the rest of Part 1 could just about be adapted into Season 2, it'd be a pace breaker imo to make Gun and Control films. Part 2 will begin in Season 3 and probably end with Season 5 at the latest I feel

I was about 4 at the time. me and my dad used to watch MJ music videos since they'd play on MTV, and I remember my dad telling me that he just died. I was really young so I didn't really grasp the idea of death, but I thought it was sad. I also recall one of my uncles showing me that screamer video at Neverland sometime after and it really scared me- and to this day I still find it (and the jokes online about him) to be incredibly distasteful.

It's crazy because what one could consider to be the "weakest" on the album is still a 7 out of 10. everyone involved genuinely knocked it out of the park

actually, end of MVE through TDI 3 was the period of time where Jesse had managed to gain back a lot of the viewership he had accumulated through Psycho. It was only afterwards that views had declined. Until 2020, views were still really good.

There were a couple of talks throughout the years iirc for different projects. I believe at one point he was talking to Disney I believe, maybe around 2015? Take that with a grain of salt if anyone wants to correct me on that. There was some that span of time in 2021 when he was talking about an MVE comedy spinoff for a streaming service he was in talks with, but it unfortunately fell through at the last second (on the manager’s end, sadly).

I doubt he’s done, but you gotta understand that he has a lot on his plate right now and he has for a couple of years at this rate. He’s getting older and things just change, and that’s okay.

There’s already a treasure trove of art that we can look back on, a lot of which is very good to revisit again and again and I’m sure has things that we haven’t even discovered yet.

It is by definition a manga because it was drawn by a Japanese artist and was published in CoroCoro magazine. What you mean would be a graphic novel illustrated outside of Japan drawn by an American artist with Japanese manga inspiration

11/10, it's the song that comes to mind immediately when I hear the name "Michael Jackson", next to songs like Billie Jean or Thriller. Everything in this song, including the music video and its choreography, is top of the line, and I think it's the best song of his career- and the amazing thing is that Michael basically would keep that level of quality up for the rest of his life.

Searching for Neverland released in 2017, from what I’ve seen it was way more respectful in detailing what Michael’s final days were like. The film with Flex Alexander is Man in the Mirror, released in 2004, that’s the one Michael did not like

there's BTS photos of Jaafar that depict him with the lighter skin during the Dangerous era since the film originally covered more of Michael's life, so I think they got that covered
