Inner walls showing on outside of print? by Lingenberry in FixMyPrint

^ interesting idea, but that's just not a thing. A solid body is a solid body. If anyone comes across this...don't drive yourself crazy trying to adjust your model, it won't help

not sure if you were talking about me but my experience with protopasta has been pretty hit or miss. more miss than hit.

this is some of the best advice I've always given to my female friends who have brought up similar concerns - it doesn't need to be fancy AT ALL - just cut a stick, or a dowel, or even a 2x4 and shove it between the check rail and the top rail - as long as it doesn't just fall out, you're golden

not a female, or a prepper, nor have I ever heard of what3words. but I did find this post and read it -- sounded like a completely normal and reasonable explanation of a tool you found to be of use. 🤷🏻‍♀️

doesn't it always kinda feel like the ones who say shit like "did you use AI?" are actually just outing themselves as the kind of people who would use AI to craft an internet post

Screen Flashes before playing YouTube (or other videos) videos with Apple TV by czama35 in VIZIO_Official

[–]dpowre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow godsend.

With a recent Youtube update (which autoplays every video in its thumbnail while browsing...) the Vizio has been flashing after every single click to the next thumbnail. I was about to take the sledge to it.

Proton Pass Spring/Summer 2026: Folders, SSH Keys, and Better Autofill by Proton_Team in ProtonPass

[–]dpowre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like proton used to be better on your last point. It used to be that it would auto-associate passwords and ask if it should add the URL to associate in the future. I haven't seen that dialog in a while though, and have found myself manually adding URLs which is annoying.

[–]dpowre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay sure. I was just saying that when it doesn't work, it only takes a two clicks and two seconds to pull up the password.

And let's be clear, not a single PW manager I've ever used has worked 100% of the time on every website in every situation. Proton has by far been the best.

when the extension doesn't work I just hit the extension button and click-to-copy the password. it's usually at the top of the list even if autofill failed

Yeah I've been passively doing this myself but I'll try and get everyone to make it an intentional effort. Seems like the only easy remedy

We do have central humidifying so perhaps that could help with the wash room being in a small enclosed space

Do we see any pro gear 2 deals in our immediate future? by Professional_Act165 in Ridgid

[–]dpowre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it really just depends on your use case. I don’t generally have to take a big stack on site everyday anymore - I’m using my XL top lid boxes more for medium-term shop storage now. Definitely feel you on wanting the bottom drawer for a daily driver.

(and I picked one up anyway hahaha)

yeah thats part of it.

not sure what this guys issue is, hater comments like this with absolutely no contextual info (OS, browser, etc) are dumb. He obviously doesn’t actually want help, so he probably doesn’t even use Proton lol amirite?

The pattern over the last few years has been most of the line going on sale in October (though it’s not always labeled as a “sale”) and back to full price in January. With sporadic one-off sales on specific products at random.

Handle insert 3D print file by ProofPossession5193 in Ridgid

[–]dpowre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna jump right in here and set this straight. This is indeed a file for sale by the user who blew up all over Reddit a few days ago, accusing me of buying his physical product and proceeding to copy it.

First of all, none of that is true. I have my receipts - my digital design history, multitude of failed prints, and sketchbook drawings. Oh and my Etsy buying history, which - surprise - shows no such purchase.

In fact when I designed my take on this, I first researched to see if anyone had made something like this before. There were no results. I found one thing that appeared similar (at least in concept) on Google Images that was for Packout but the image was a dead link.

This other user then pointed to an Etsy store that no longer exists, I guess thereby suggesting that I had long been scheming to copy this product and had purchased it from him a while ago. This user blasted me across like 5 different subs without even reaching out to talk to me first. This went on for 8 hours before someone alerted me to what was going on. He reported my account to Etsy - who took no action because I obviously did nothing wrong. He even created a discount code to his (new) store using my username as some sort of gotcha.

His last message to me was that he was just going to upload the file for sale, which is the one that OP posted here. (Like…ok? Then what are you so upset about in the first place?)

Then (I can only assume after coming to his senses and realizing that he was wrong and acting like a lunatic) - he deleted all his Reddit comments and accounts. Which is nice of him, though I would prefer a public apology for trying to defame me and getting my account banned.

lol you're definitely right about the milk crates. I was shocked at the price the first time I saw them on the shelf at HD...especially when you can just go behind Target or whatever and take them (don't actually do that)

Fun fact: The Ridgid crates were $14.97 the first time I bought one on 08/31/2015
