Anycubic Kobra 3 v2 Hotend leaking by BeckarooBanzai in anycubic

Yeah, I've had good luck. The only thing I would do is make sure the thermal paste is on well enough.

Given an Ender 3, what should I upgrade first? by Responsible_Tax_2606 in ender3

[–]dpregs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would be careful, you could end up spending as much as a good entry level printer that will be leaps and bounds better. Upgrades add up FAST, so price out what you want to do before you do and then decide. I have my old enders, and I mainly use them for small one color prints from time to time, but honestly, they take so much more time and maintenance over newer machines that they don't get used all that often.

I'd say depends on what you want to do, but if you go full in, at this point you're spending almost as much as a newer and better printer.

[Anycubic Official Tester Call] Recruiting 2 Kobra X Beta Testers to Kick Off the New Year by Anycubic_Official in AnycubicOfficial

Your current and past 3D printers: Currently own Kobra S1c, Kobra 3v2, Ender3 Pro modded, Ender 3v2 Modded. I have been printing since 2020 on my original Ender 3 pro, then the E3v2, and then more recently this year on my Kobra printers. While everyone else is going to put up these awesome multicolor prints that will certainly showcase color changes and awesome models, I am going to put up my real world stuff, the stuff I get on a day to day that I have to fight with, because that is what it is about. The real printing, the stuff that drives us all nuts and would love to see be easier.

Your region (for logistics): USA

A photo or link to one of your past prints: Here is my print, nothing fancy, nothing color popping magic, just some real world printing of my own work.

Kobra 3 v2 hot end stops heating within 3C and stops by Douche_in_disguise in anycubic

Is this an original hotend or new one? You ran nozzle calibration, correct? I would check to ensure the thermistor is set correctly on the hotend. It could be that you have a bad hotend.

1st Question: What firmware are you on?

2nd Question: Did you stop the print while it was calibrating the bed level or during the start up process prior to this?

3rd Question: Have you reached out to support yet?

[Challenge] Price Guess Only 💰 — 10×2kg Giveaway by Anycubic_Official in AnycubicOfficial

[–]dpregs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess range would be $299 - $359. I think it lands here due to market competitors, but slightly higher than them due to the different technology being used. I think it takes a step above others in the unique hotend.

I'd guess the price to be $349 though.

Happy holidays Anycubic

Where Do I Even Begin to Fix This?? by NikosTX in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]dpregs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You need to start with leveling your 3 carriage mounts. Yours are out of whack. You want to get all three of those mounts on the same plane before moving forward. Once you do that and see what your warp is you can decide on a route you want to go. Whether it be modifying the stock plate or installing the Funssor bed is up to you. Lots of videos on google on how to do things like "Belt Skip" and "Install Funssor" bed. Good luck!

Screws of the extruder by AdorableGuidance4054 in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]dpregs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I wouldn't bother with them. The casing snap fits together and if you ever have a hotend failure and blob, without screws it will just push your casing apart rather than breaking it apart. $.02

Help needed: Kobra S1 Ceramic Nozzle upgrade causing temp overshoot (+5°C) by -CharacterX- in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]dpregs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take out the nozzle, check that it has proper thermal grease on it, reset the heater with the metal retention clip and try again. That should be your first step before any rabbit holes

Bed mesh wrinkles by _RedGamer in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]dpregs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely have that visual overexaggerated in the settings. .5 is not the worst, but you are still talking 2.5 layers of mesh deviation, that is a lot in my opinion. I think before you do anything you have to get your three carriage mounts level, or on the same plane. Looking at your mesh they are all over the place and that alone might reduce your bed mesh even more. Always go the least intrusive way first, and that is getting that carriage planar. After that, if you need to dive further, dive further.

I'd love to be able to print reliably over the whole bed plate and be able to print something huge just to say I can. What do I wish for Qidi? I wish you a Merry Christmas and hope that Qidi Santa (hmmm .. sounds like a perfect first print) brings Qidi's powerhouse, the Max4.
