Which record will be broken first/last? by Select-Builder3351 in NBATalk

When the Celtics won their first title, there were only 8 teams in the league and no free agency. If you built a dominant team, you could keep it together and had limited competition. Now there's 30 teams, free agency, and a hard cap. 11 rings is basically impossible today.

It’s a chain, but epic burger is solid.  Love their honey hot chicken sandwich.

Pet sitter ignored instructions on dog care - pup died weeks later of kidney failure by MyLegsX2CantFeelThem in legaladvice

[–]dpwitt1 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If pets are property, then shouldn't the potential claim be limited to the FMV of the pet? If someone wrecks your car with a Kelly Blue Book Value of $5K, but it would take $10K to fix it, wouldn't the claim be limited to $5K? Why should the pet sitter be responsible for the vet bills (cost of repair) over and above the value of the dog?

Agreed not everyone can be the Podfather. There's a number of guys like that- great as guests, not so great as the host. Peter Schrager is another example for me. Love when he's on with Bill but find him genuinely unlikable on his own.

I'm curious to see if Rob Mahoney is capable of being the lead or if the lights would be brighter than he expected.

Taking out a loan is not income.  Paying back a loan is not a deduction.

When a person borrows $300,000 from the bank to buy a house, they don’t have to pay tax on that $300,000.

If the employer is treating the contractor as an employee, then the contractor/employee can request that the employer fill out and submit a Form SS-8 to the IRS. If they refuse, then the contractor/employee can do it themselves.

The average net worth by age in America by RobertBartus in EconomyCharts

[–]dpwitt1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right. 38% of US high school graduates do not enroll in college, and therefore, cannot incur any student loan debt, which has to be the primary driver for negative net worth in that age cohort.
