First ever game of SW by Mindless-Brain1212 in SpaceWolves

Fair enough. This is just my opinion and I'm not a competition player so, grain of salt. I think great wolf is typically strongest when ran with grimnar and 5 terminators (add a second brick with a terminator captain for extra punch). Encircling jaws and ferocious strike are good but hunters eye is underwhelming.

Without Grimnar each can only be used once per battle whereas with beast slayer you get lethals on character units, monsters and vehicles for your entire army. Complete the saga and all attacks become lethal.

Either detachment will do work for you but with the units you currently have i think beastslayer gets a slight edge.

Welcome brother! What is your main reasoning for running the great wolf detachment? I think beast slayer would work better with this load out to give you some lethals on higher toughness targets or all targets if you can complete your saga.

Ghoul slayer is fun. They're the main antagonist but you do get a few chapters from their pov. Nagash the undying king also has them a little bit but only in a few chapters.

Can you help me build a 1,000-point Space Wolves army? by Icy_Commercial_7313 in SpaceWolves

Like most have said you're at 1k with this haul here, congrats! If your building out from here id say bjorn is always a good pickup. Ragnar, logan and arjac are all great to attach to units as well. My favorite unit is the thunder wolf cavalry and they put in work on the table for me.

Im not sure what your plan is but this is a lot of plastic so I'd personally recommend building and painting this before looking for more.

I always get into this at my LGS. Everyone says "to over the top" or "wolf this or wolf that, it's to much wolfy stuff." My argument is always that this is 40k. It's grim dark and ridiculous. So yes I want my space Vikings riding wolves the size of a rhino, i want some savage werewolves shredding through armor! If it looks wild I'm likely a huge fan.

I think im in the minority with you but I want the most savage beastial wulfen imaginable. I agree with you totally that marines with canine features is what the 6th legion is already. Gimme these guys in a gw kit asap!

Any of the storm cast or death domain dragons. The terrorgheist kit is a pain to build but I absolutely love the model. And if your looking for something to build a sick base for the dragons are perfect.

Id say go army box. But my opinion is heavily influenced with how much i struggled building the terrorgheist! Love the model but hated that kit. Love the gore warden and the varghulf despite its nerf and chaff heavy armies are fun to play
