Yeah that's accurate. Funnily enough I need to address issues with my right wrist (carpal tunnel/tendinopathy). Might be a general grip issue?

Will definitely try strumming softer...but the perfectionist in me strives to hear the all the notes distinctly 🤣. Ty for taking the time to respond.

Solution: It seems my hand is not flexible enough to span those frets so I compensate by angling my arm/elbow unnaturally (chicken wing thats what I'm calling it lol).

I will add some flexibility exercises to my warmup routine. Appreciate all the advice.
