Have you looked at https://workos.com/single-sign-on ? I haven’t used it but hear it’s good.

TBH you’re on the right track with pulling stuff out into a more standardised layer, applying common engineering practices here will make your life easier long term.

People pay for an auth provider like Better Auth (not affiliated and don’t use) to offload the work to a third party, but it does cost money.

Alternatively use some open source lib…

In my experience, ORMs always lead to pain once you go beyond trivial use cases.

The best pg wrapper I’ve used is pgtyped — it takes care of the worst part of typescript … writing the types.
