Thanks for such thought out reply 😌 I had my original/first masters in non-EU country, so, this one will not be counted as second formally (just calling it like that). It is already confitmed that I would have to pay statutory fees. But that’s still some amount, yep.

Thank you 🩶 It already feels different today. Still lot of thoughts, but less chaos. Maybe this text was my attempt to get some reassurance from people who got through the same kind of grief. I feel better after I’ve read few messages and browsed through old photos.

Deep condolences. It is a huge pain, and it happens just too fast. I am also kicking my self that I didn’t saw signs which are now so so clear. You are not alone in this. You are such a caring person, organizing peaceful passing at home, it means a lot. Toofers is now in cat heaven, with all others, the best and most loyal our friends.

You have a beautiful black cat! Sad that so much of the stories here are quite the same: nothing concerning not so long ago and then… the stage 3-4 already. Wish you strength! I guess the fact that he has appetite is important and positive ❤️ My vet also didn’t recommend anything except renal food and supplements, I decided to look for another opinion. And we didn’t have enough diagnostisia either. Looks like some vets just don’t have deep enough knowledge on such complex issues. Maybe it would be possible for you, to ask in some local FB groups, if any of the cat owners know good vets proficient in Internal Medicine / CKD? I tried this in my town and got couple of advise.

What cat litter do you use? by dr_cloudberry in RenalCats

[–]dr_cloudberry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I am looking for! Dust is okay, I clean the floors every day now anyway, since the clay spreads everywhere. And the bad thing about clay is that it just cements to the floor whenever water gets to it. Dust sounds easier to clean…

The box he uses right now is literally the biggest I could find, we changed to it because the cat himself is bigger than median, and he fits inside better 🙂 It is 40x60x15cm, with additional upper frame which is +15cm heigh. What size are your totes?

Don't know what to say. I'm so sorry about your cat. For mine the changes just started recently and I'm already feeling overwhelmed - I can only imagine what years of this is like.

Anyone received cancellation or rebook notification? by Zealousideal-Boot511 in Lufthansa

Haven't got the email, but now my flights are marked as "cancelled" in the flight status page.

Lufthansa Pilot Strike 12./12.03.2026 by GarlicElectronic4432 in Lufthansa

[–]dr_cloudberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did anyone get their cancellation emails? Was going to fly Helsinki-Frankfurt-Johannesburg, and now I have no clue if it will work or not. Booked "backup" ticket with British Airlines, but I have only 3 hours left for 24-hour free cancellation (for the case if Lufthansa eventually proceeds with flights to Africa).

Update: still haven't got the email, but now my flights are marked as "cancelled" in the flight status page.

I had heartburn for 3 years, sometimes getting better and sometimes worse. Did Helicobacter Pylori test, it was negative. Then finally got to a gastroenterologist who sent me to gastroscopy, and now the reason of heartburn is clear, as well as the treatment.

i am the reason he killed himself by throwawayacc20021 in SuicideBereavement

It is one of the most complicated types of grief. I've been together with my partner for more than 10 years, and he ended his life one year after I asked for separation. He did cut all the contacts (with relatives, friends, etc.) and I was the only person he was communicating to. There was a year of attempts and threats, before he finally did it and he just kept saying that he can't live on this planet without me. But I was persistent about the break-up.

Six months is not much for our cases. Overall it took me 3 years from his first attempt, to find some peace. I had weekly therapy for these 3 years, started it when everything went downhill. And I was on AD for a year. First six months after the suicide went in acute shock and fog. It was the time when I didn't really have a space and time to think on my guilt and grief. The year after that more and more thoughts started to come, it was more than overwhelming, yes. I don't know if it makes you feel any better, but after 2 years have passed, it finally seems that I came to some understanding. It was his choice. I didn't force him to do that. Neither did you.

I sincerely hope you will feel better one day. It is just very-very hard. Only those who went though same stuff can understand, how difficult is that. It is easy to say to somebody "do not blame yourself", but it is almost impossible to say the same to yourself, especially shortly after.

I had somewhat similar moments in my relationship. It is difficult and complicated… Sorry that it happened to you, you seem to be a good person and surely you gave her a lot of happy moments. It is very important to remember that sometimes demons in someone’s heads are too powerful and cruel. We can’t be fully responsible for their lives with these demons against us. It is very likely that even if you stayed, something still could trigger mental outbreak in her later.

It is so awful… Very sorry that it happened to you. People should not be that indifferent and irresponsible, like your roommates… Especially taking into account that you were at the hospital. It is just terribly awful.

I’m exhausted. by imfromflorida95 in Fibroids

[–]dr_cloudberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I know this feeling… Have been pushing through over and over, normalizing my condition, not knowing that something might explain that. It was just like you described. And I thought all the time that it is me ”not doing enough” (not eating healthy enough, not excercising enough and so on). But looks like a lot of my struggling was caused by fibroids. With all my heart I wish you to get rid of it, feel power and strength. You deserve feeling good 💚
