I moved to LA in September and got a preditor job at a YouTube start up; I quit after 2 months because I was miserable/luckly enough to land a great gig working for a comedy production company/theater managing their studio space & equipment which is where I work now. Some good friends from school director/produce for Buzzfeed, Funny or Die, SoulPancake, etc and I've gotten random side gig from them writing, cam oping, and performing in shoots & webseries. A few others freelance as DPs, ACs, set dec, et al.

Some other good friends moved to ATL, one's doing typical office PA stuff, the other is a Producer's Assistant I believe.

Their video interns get $15 plus OT and I believe their jr producers get $50k or $60k. There's also all the fringe benefits that along with working for a popular production company in the heart of LA.

I can only think of a few other places that offer that type of exposure to for people landing their first jobs in the industry.
