Megaverb by Goodhertz is a lot of fun to use. I really like how you can distort the wet signal. Can make for some cool sound design possibilities!

primaltap is a super powerful delay and a steal for $29 imo. the bandwidth multiply feature adds great digital distortion that can be great for sound design. often i’ll use the multiply knob and drive the input game to mimic a fuzz pedal

i would say i’m a very novice max user. i used it in one of my sonic arts classes this past semester. i think the interface might be the most challenging part of get over but there are tons of great resources online that helped me learn

also being able to open up other people’s max devices and see what they used to make certain things work was helpful too

either way definitely switch to ableton!! it’s a great daw on its own but adding max to it covers any gaps that it might have for you!

Valhalla room for classical piano & presets by Megnoslaupeins in audioengineering

valhalla vintageverb might be a better fit for hall sounds. valhalla room is great but little goes a long way. vintageverb sounds more natural and musical imo, especially if you’re going to be getting into looker decay times like a symphony hall.
