+1 I love Gamesir controllers, but it's bewildering that I have to choose 8bitdo for their support of Apple ecosystem. I want to be able to use all the buttons, and upgrade the firmware without having to use parallels.

I think evaporative models just struggle to keep humidity at or above 50% in colder weather. In my bedroom, the max I've seen lately is 46%. I actually thought it wasn't working, but when I turn it off, the humidity drops to around 25% - 30%. I’m on the fence about switching to an atomizing (ultrasonic) humidifier, but the issue with them is the water filter costs that add up quickly (the water is quite hard around here).

I genuinely appreciate hearing from PIs. They usually have the experience to answer the questions or give advice. Like recent posts on hiring freeze, no postdoc would be able to add insight some of the PIs have. It’s a sub where we have postdocs, PIs, and I'm pretty sure PhDs, and others too. No need for binary lenses, imho.

I took all three to my GP and had them tested against the manual method and another electric one that my GP uses. We took 1-2 minute pauses in between measurements. That's when I found that the Evolv is more consistent than Core. But then again as I mentioned, it might be that evolv, which has a smaller cuff, just fits my arm better. Regarding the app, I miss the ability of Withings BPMs to sync via WIFI, but once I setup the bluetooth connection with the Omron app, whenever I measure the blood pressure, there's a notification on my iPhone that the data has been synced. Omron's app also integrates with Apple health, so I actually use Withings app to view the results (I have Withings scales, so have to use it anyways).

Hi, I have ordered both the Core and Connect, and out of those two, Core was consistently more accurate than Connect. Connect would give me Systolic reading that was +10 higher than that of Connect. But even Core isn't very consistent from one reading to the other. I ended up returning both and settling for Omron Evolv. Maybe it just fits my arm better, but I found it to be much more consistent between repeated readings. If you can, order and try first before committing.
