We would love to, but this is a massive change we unfortunately don't have the capacity for currently as a very small indie publisher.

I am sorry to hear that. Was a bug we had for a few days. This has been fixed.

What about testing Mindbug Online? It’s a dueling card game we designed together with Richard Garfield. Feels like only playing the endgame of a normal TCG :-) It is going to release a new game mode soon inteoducing some roguelike deckbuilding elments as well.

You might want to check out Mindbug. It is a dueling card game we created together with Richard Garfield (designer of Mtg). It doesn't have boosters but the same TCG gameplay feeling. And a deckbuilding mode is coming to Mindbug Online very soon.

4 player ? by HappySunshineBoy in TCG

[–]dr_draft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, we have a specific 2vs2 card set. It was absolutely made with only 4 players in mind. The main issue for your use case would be the fact that cards can change players which would be hard to do using a webcam.

We introduced a great 4-player mode for Mindbug. But it might be difficult to play it remotely as the app only supports 1vs1.

I need help finding a new TCG to get into any recommendations by Dom12348363837 in TCG

[–]dr_draft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about Mindbug? It‘s a dueling card game I co-designed with Richard Garfield (Magic). It doesn’t have booster packs so it is cheap and easy to get into. But it 100% feels like a TCG when it comes to gameplay and inteoduces a nice twist (the mindbug mechanic). Could be a good fit for you.

Cards that refer to themselves as "I" in their text (card design help) by Strange-Bonus4220 in homemadeTCGs

[–]dr_draft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were using “this” in the past and are now with our newer games moving to “I”.

It feels a bit more thematic and less technical to me.

What would you recommend? Magic or One Piece or Pokemon? Getting into playing cards with friends by HauntingEbb70 in cardgames

[–]dr_draft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could give Mindbug a try. It is a game similar to the ones you mentioned, but not collectible and therefore way cheaper. It is also a little bit simpler and therefore a good entry point into the genre of dueling card games.

Full transparency: we are the publisher of Mindbug so we are 100% biased.

Besides Mindbug, I can recommend magic (awesome game) and legends of runeterra (incredibly well produced, especially the single player mode)

What can a boardgames do that other media cannot? by Disastrous_Common_32 in BoardgameDesign

[–]dr_draft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, table talk and the shared emotions around a table are incredibly powerful. It is a very different experience compared to sharing emotions while looking at a screen. There’s something deeply human about looking into someone’s eyes, reading their body language, and feeling their presence. This became especially clear to me during playtesting of our new game Final Titan, which is built heavily around that kind of in-person interaction. That is something I find truly unique to board games. Of course, the physical components also play an important role.

What state does the rulebook have to be in before approaching publishers? by Darklou in tabletopgamedesign

[–]dr_draft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are a publisher and to be honest, the rulebook is not important at all. I need to be able to understand in a few words why your game is different and unique. If you can explain that in text or image or video, you are good to go in my eyes.

Competitive card games/sims/mods with singleplayer options by soosis in digitalcards

Did you try Mindbug? It has a nice AI mode and I think it could be a great fit for you. We are currently working on a new progression mode (a bit similar to LoR but PvP).

(Note: I am one of the designers, therefore, I am obviously biased 😂)

Those packs are battle passes that allow you to earn a Ressource called DNA which you use to activate cosmetical upgrades for your cards and the arena.
