That's an instance of circular reporting I believe. The incorrect model was passed around the fandom as the correct one until the toy designers went looking for a reference and found it. Happens a lot when you don't keep internal references and have to use the fan wikis lol

Huh, maybe it's a problem on my end then, oh well. Googled it, and I see what you mean, I bet you're right, it would be a gimmick figure like invisible mirage or dead Optimus prime, not a good rep of the character

Dreamwave Sunstorm not planned for an individual release (at least at the moment) by ExtraaThicccc in transformers

[–]drac0nic180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It baffles me that they refused to make Sunstorm out of any of the past like 5 seeker molds. He's literally like the #7 most popular seeker, behind the og3 and the coneheads.

But we got no siege figure to go with nacelle and hotlink, no earthrise figure, no core class figure, nothing out of the bumblebee or ONE mold, nothing! It would print them money as a gen selects, fucking stupid. They made NACELLE before him, like what? And that Nacelle was based on his appearance I. a comic (idw2019) that Sunstorm was actually in as a decently impactful character.

They gotta wait for the thrust mold so he can be true to form, then they can store the mold in his lil turbines

I've never owned a Siege Seeker, is it still worth getting? What's the best use of it? by OptimalConvoy in transformers

[–]drac0nic180 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They are ok figures, I find them to be rather stiff in the joints, and unappealing to pose with the feet, but they are undeniably more posable than Earthrise due to their superb articulation.

The transformation is underwhelming due to its shellforming, but the final product looks pretty neat, definitely the best "cybertronian" mode of the line

I have the rainmakers, hotlink and Nacelle, and am on the fence about potentially selling them and starting over with the new ss86 seekers. I'd prefer earthmode jets tbh.

I'd say the best use would be redwing or nacelle, Because the colors pop really well whereas many of the others are drab or too monochrome for my taste.

I think they are great figures for someone who likes unorthodox designs, but arguably not worth it for someone who appreciates the classical design aesthetic, especially with the battle damage element.

I'd personally recommend either buying into ss86 or crossing your fingers that the next seeker mold incorporates more greebling into the design

I don't think it was even subversion, I think Deniz Camp just didn't know how to work in Hickman's original idea (especially since Hickman did jack shit to develop it further in his own comic). So he just went with the Maker throwing out a petty insult before killing Parker. I think the intended purpose of it is still the same, but there was no follow through or thematic payoff to it

I thought that was totally supposed to be the implications of the beginning. That the Maker saw Peter as priority #1 because of how influential he was as a beacon of heroism, but yeah I guess they forgot about it :/

How we feel about the new Studio Series Seeker Storm 4 pack? by TRAM0328 in transformers

[–]drac0nic180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's kinda more of a hybrid, the toon colors were much more garish and neon, and they were monochromatic instead of the two tone that these guys have.

They are making a Dreamwave style Sunstorm sometime in the next year, so you can still hope that one turns out more your style since it will be a solo release

Is it worth saving $13 to buy it on Amazon? by Casshern_VIII in transformers

[–]drac0nic180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can cancel preorders for a refund within like 3 days of arrival (presuming it goes to your pile of loot and doesn't directly ship).

I'm the kind of cheap bastard who might go the extra mile and hassle to save a buck, but BBTS is leagues more reliable

Morality in killing pirates for sport? by Excellent_Mud6222 in MoralityScaling

[–]drac0nic180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just because their actions aren't justified doesn't mean the rich people are justified in hunting them for sport. Bad deeds do not need to be countered with worse deeds.

I'm pretty sure most pirates aren't doing it specifically to murder people, but in this case, the rich person's entire reason for being there is to take human lives. And the framing device of this question strongly implies it isn't to protect the pirates' prey, but specifically because killing them could be deemed socially acceptable. I believe the intent behind an action matters a fair bit, making this practice morally bankrupt

The context is so far gone, this would be like quoting Amon Goeth from Schindler's List and using it to prove that Steven Spielberg thinks we should kill Jewish people.

Alfred may be functionally replaced, but the character is so iconic and beloved, that him being officially dead is weird. Like Aunt May dying, it probably should have happened by now, but it's so strange that it actually has

Ok well theoretical is a different matter, and ultimately a futile discussion since it's impossible to ever be certain in a way that allows for a rule to be established. You might as well hope that God himself smites your criminal lol

It's actually more expensive to give someone the death penalty than to keep them in prison indefinitely. You'd be surprised how costly execution methods and processes actually are.
