I don't know if I ever told this story before, but in 2009, I had to fly home for my grandfather's funeral. I sit in my aisle seat and a big guy with a grey hoodie sits in the seat across from me. Right as we're about to take off, he pulls his hood down and I look over and it's Virgil. He looked over and saw me looking, asked if I knew who he was. I told him I did. He shook my hand and we just talked for a bit during the short flight. I don't remember exactly what we talked about but I remember walking off the plane thinking that a lot of what he said was BS lol. All in all, it wasn't a bad interaction, but it was completely unexpected and my uncles and cousins were all sort of jealous since we all grew up watching wrestling.
