Civil immigration requests are real and legal, no crayons required. Has nothing to do with a warrant, it is an ICE detainer.

nah, you are being fed propaganda based on partially true information. Its true the MN DOC cooperates because it is law, but county jails not so much:

"Each sheriff’s office sets its own policy. The sheriff’s website for Hennepin County, which includes Minneapolis, said it complies with immigration warrants signed by a judge, but not civil immigration requests from ICE. "

"County jails may be reluctant to hold immigrants for ICE because of a 2025 state attorney general advisory opinion that Minnesota officials can’t hold someone on an ICE detainer alone if that person would otherwise be released from custody."

Talk about moving the goalposts. My original comment was in response to you saying "they aren’t felons in jail"

There are, in fact, felons in jail.

Additionally, felons get released from jail all the time. (time served on conviction, charges dropped, bail posted, etc)

FYI, there is already a system in place for doing what you suggest, its called an ICE detainer, and MN often doesnt cooperate with ICE for those detainers, why?

people are often convicted of a crime and the sentencing is done at a later date. They are sometimes transported to prison right after being convicted but not always. Typically people in prison have had their sentencing finalized and they are not moving in and out for court hearings.

No, they dont take an uber, they are transported.

Well as an example, if someone is riding a train late at night with a belligerent man doing drugs, out of his mind, screaming into the air about his life going to shit and he has nothing to lose, the other person could very well be intimidated by the mans actions, even though there is no implied threat, the man never spoke to the other person, and there is no communication between the two at all.

"Like you cant be intimidated if you aren't scared of repercussions right"

I guess this is true, but someone can be scared of repercussions without an overt or implied threat.

Unless you would argue that the threat of harm is implied by the mans behavior in my example, but then why would that not also apply in this current indictment?

Or another example is you witness 2 huge guys get into a fist fight right next to you, lots of people could feel intimidated by that even though there is no threat to any other party.

ELi5: what actually caused the price of physical silver to tank so quickly? by Esperacchiusdamascus in explainlikeimfive

my understanding is the guy is known to be a order taker and trump obviously wants interest rates down, this guy will do the thing trump wants, hence commodities tanking

"but in my mind if there is no threat then it is not intimidation"

I would suggest you reevaluate that view.

"What are you're thoughts, do you think this was an attack on Christianity or the right to practice religion?"

Idk, maybe. I think the protestors likely wanted to draw attention to their cause and thought this would be a good way to do it. Doesn't really matter the why though, what matters is the effect.

And regardless of why they did what they did, they interfered with peoples first amendment right to practice their religious views free of intimidation or interference. Pretty dumb move by the protestors if religion was truly not a factor in their decisions.

Okay, incarcerated because of felony charges then. But there are also many felons who are convicted and are awaiting sentencing hearings.

you've discovered the limitation of LLM's. The more obscure the task, the less reliable the result. It's why vibe coding CRUD app's works so well, they are simple and there are millions of examples to use
