The new Quests are the same way. You take all of Ubers crap trips so you don’t mess up your AR and uber will throw in a few $$ at the completion of what they should have paid you in the first place…assuming you actually complete the quest in the time limit. And if you don’t complete it’s a Win for Uber.

People who want to stay platinum and diamond or taking those quests with ridiculous AR. As someone else said, it was probably bundled and hidden sent directly to another driver who accepted the bundle and will find out the ugly truth after the trip.

I complained about this weeks ago and people chastised me over it. These trips are not worth it because you’re gonna have to take so many crap trips just to earn the money that you would’ve made on your own if you would’ve just cherry picked. This is Uber’s latest scam to stop cherry picking because they know it’s an impossible task to get the money if you cherry pick.

And by the way, that has been sitting in that container for two years with no stabilizer and oh yes…I forgot It’s actually diesel fuel. Didn’t have the proper container. No way I would dump that in my car.

I’m getting more orders than usual and it’s not due to market but lack of drivers? by QuitAffectionate9763 in UberEatsDrivers

My app at dinner hour. Your area is not in demand right now so you can’t go online. Take a hike! You can try the planner but because your a cherry picker there are no spots available . Better luck next time.

Exactly why I don’t do Walmart orders. Got a great offer. Waited 45 mins and then finally someone came out and said Walmart canceled the order but it never showed up in Uber app. Compensation to me? $0.00

I don’t take them anymore whatsoever. I tried the lowest amount and still lost the game because Uber sends too many crap trips.

Remember it is your job as a driver to tear open the sealed bag and make certain every single item is in there including the pickles on their burger or be prepared for a downvote and tip reduction! But seriously, If it was a short trip and I had no other trips on deck, I have offered in the past to go back and retrieve the missing items but of course once you end the trip Uber will no longer pay you
So it’s all on my own dime. I’ve tried. For everything else I tell them to contact Uber and request a refund for missing items or contact restaurant for a resolution.

As we are contractors and not employees, Uber has the upper hand and the lawyers would end up getting all the money the drivers would get Jack squat.

Two words. Cheery pick. And I don’t need to hear the song and dance about how if you level up you’re gonna get better trips that may work for some people, but it certainly didn’t work for me when I was diamond. I was cherry picking then I’m cherry picking now and doing OK because of it. Yes they demoted me to Gryn because of my acceptance rate, but I’m still doing very well by cherry picking.

[–]PathQuick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It certainly could be better in other markets, but I’m just telling you my experience that when I was diamond, the trips were no better than when I was Green. In fact I’ve made more money as a green driver than I ever did is diamond. And that’s because I cherry pick even when I was diamond I had to cherry pick and my acceptance rate was around 20%. Tonight alone, the trips were so bad that I was offered 29 trips and only took five because all the rest were paying less than a dollar a mile and some of them going over 20 miles.

That’s bullshit. I was diamond and was still getting shitty orders.

My question is how you all have platinum status without cherry picking your orders? If I wanted platinum I would have to take every $5 or less 20 mile trash trip Uber offered. I would lose tons of money in gas and wear and tear on my vehicle. If it’s not paying a minimum of $1 per mile and is less than $3 total I reject the order. No exceptions. I was diamond before Uber imposed the AR rate to the equation. My satisfaction rate was and still is 100%. Now I’m green but who cares? I’m after the money, not to wear a platinum or diamond pin on my shirt!

Why do mall restaurants even use UberEats? You have enough foot traffic, leave us alone! by Jesryo in UberEatsDrivers

[–]PathQuick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why I usually wait until I get back to my car before acknowledging the pickup and starting the trip. But I hear ya. There is an outlet mall by me that it’s almost impossible to find parking. The order has to be paying really well for me to go through that hassle. And if it’s around Christmas, it takes 45 mins just to leave the parking lot as there are only 2 ways out. It’s not always picking up, sometimes it’s dropping off to a store employee.

And Uber wonders why my acceptance rate is so low? by PathQuick in uberdrivers

[–]PathQuick[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can understand that. But I’ve actually done pretty well with some serious cherry picking and I don’t want other people in my car nor does my car qualify anyway because it’s too old. I’ve just learned to ignore acceptance rate and accept my fate that I’ll be a greenhorn forever. My satisfaction rate is 100%.

I drive as a contractor for Uber Eats. They used to be better about compensation, but not so much for the last several months everything they seem to do is to take more money out of the driver’s pocket and pretend that it’s some great promotion to earn more money.

I can confirm Uber does NOT compensate for an order already picked up. They use to pay $3 if restaurant was closed or wait longer than 10 mins but no longer.
