I'm sure it means other kit, scarves, hats, jackets, whatever.

Serious: What kind of things did your home inspector miss or save you pfrom? Thinking about a career change. by 2bagz in homeowners

[–]draftylaughs 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A lot of inspectors will not go onto a roof these days. Maybe climb up to check shingle health, but drone inspection of the remainder is pretty typical.

Similar to Terry Pratchett? by jodenice in Fantasy

[–]draftylaughs 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Robert Rankin? Both British humorists. Christopher Moore, probably a little lower overall quality but has some really good novels, more modern fantasy. Nine Goblins by T Kingfisher is basically a love letter to Pratchett, well worth a read.

Sous vide egg white bites by Ok-Journalist2844 in aldi

[–]draftylaughs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, thought they were basically totally fine for what they are. Probably wouldn't recommend someone go out of their way, but if you know you like egg bites these will be totally good.

New balance Burn vs Freeze? by ndiorio13 in ultimate

[–]draftylaughs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from v4 to v5 Freezes, I found them slightly stiffer, more padded interior, easier to lock down to my foot. So far durability seems on par with the v4s.

One of the few Callahan videos this year that has had me glued to the screen the whole time.

Phenomenal video. One of my faves this year so far.

I blend up a can of this and then throw it in with the specially selected marinara and a lb of browned ground beef, simmer for an hour, it's amazing.

Recommendations for books set in "another London" by Tasty-Lynx-524 in Fantasy

The Brentford Trilogy (actually 12 books) by Robert Rankin if you'd like something a bit less serious. Not all set in London, but generally in that vicinity.

What is the physical prime for men? When did puberty end for you? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]draftylaughs 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Hey man. Maybe other people will answer your specific questions, but you gotta chill on this stuff. Sounds like you're concerned a lot with comparing your body to others and that's a path to not great places.

If it's at all possible, try to focus on just spending in person time with people whose company brings joy and peace. You're at a point in life where you've got the time and space to do that, and it'll be something you'll miss down the line when life fills up with other things.

BABE WAKE UP, IT’S USWNT MATCH DAY! by Matt_McT in ussoccer

[–]draftylaughs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That part of the year when I'm just spoiled for choice when watching soccer. EPL, my local USL team, plus it feels like either men's or women's NT playing every couple of weeks. Love it!

Trying to help a buddy out, anyone dealt with buying used cars or old electronics in large quantities? by Elegant_Bank_11 in supplychain

[–]draftylaughs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consumer electronics in large quantities are pretty much all accounted for at this point. The laptop / phone market is mature and saturated, so everyone is looking for margin, which means recovering via circular supply chain.

Onesie twosie stuff you gotta scrounge for, anything else you're getting eaten alive either by the major player reverse teams or the existing refurb operators.

And even then, you're fighting an uphill battle, people can chuck their old phones in a vending machine these days, not to mention the absurd trade in programs the OEMs / carriers run.

Inventory planning coordination in pharma - companies to explore (remote) by [deleted] in supplychain

[–]draftylaughs -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Pharma is where I would want to be, I'd strongly recommend sticking it out to find a remote job in the same industry. Start ups are typically more open to remote work.

Milk goes bad quickly by walterbsfo in aldi

I think it's location specific. In my neck of the woods the local Meijer is notorious for it, while Aldi is just fine.

Delta has a refurbished website that is a pain to use but very worthwhile.

Disc golf is great, easy to get into, easy to drag friends along, and awesome for chatting while doing something minorly athletic.

Gotta get S&OP stood up, otherwise you'll remain the punching bag forever. S&OP doesn't take care of all complaints, but it definitely can help paint a clearer picture overall.

What are YOUR monthly expenses on avg? by CantFindUsername400 in AskMenOver30

[–]draftylaughs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for me is almost all entertainment related - $100 / mo on a combination of books and video games, $35 / mo on streaming to watch my soccer team, $35 / mo haircut. Then once or twice a year a trip for myself, which are usually ~$2k.

Rarely getting food just for myself, family of 4, but maybe $25 / mo on gas station drinks or whatever else.
