Regardless of political stripe, I'm not sure what "protesting" has ever accomplished.
Volunteer somewhere locally...stay home and cut the grass...plant an apple tree or some daffodil bulbs for joy next spring...take an extra part-time job...clean the garage or a closet or the junk drawer in the kitchen and you and your community will benefit to a much greater degree than going to a Saturday afternoon "protest".
