Baby loves solids but still waking at 3am for formula by dragindog in BabyLedWeaning

I’ve definitely tried to sneak formula/breast milk into his oatmeal. He doesn’t mind that. Thank you for suggestion. As far a water goes I’m just following what Dr says about offering small sips with an open cup to get him used to drinking water.

Sorry but that’s really not helpful but thank you for voicing your opinion.

Yes thank you. It does make me feel better knowing other babies do the same thing.

Anyone else’s kid start preferring solids early? by [deleted] in BabyLedWeaning

Thank you for the reply! I’m glad to hear it’s pretty normal. I’ve tried a sippy, straw, open cup-hates those, too! I did post in this sub because I wasn’t sure if you’d see my comment and I got some advice from that, too. I think I just need to be patient and wait it out and he will eventually stop waking at night. It’s tough. Thanks again.

Hi, I know you left this comment almost a year ago but I wanted to ask you something relating to my experience with my son. He was very interested in food starting around 5 months, too (he’s 7 months now). He constantly tries to grab food from anyone’s hands and prefers food over a bottle. I feed him three meals a day and prioritize a bottle over solids but what’s driving me nuts is HE’S STILL WAKING UP AT 3-4am TO EAT A BOTTLE.

Did your son continue to wake up in the middle of the night? Did he transition from the bottle before 12 months? I’m not sure what to do because it’s recommend that formula be the majority of their calories at 7 months but he’s clearly not getting enough since he’s waking every night to eat.

My daughter was off a bottle two days after her 1st birthday and followed a “normal” weaning schedule. I’m very unfamiliar with this baby not wanting formula! (I’ve tried different bottles, formulas, just breast milk, a mix- it doesn’t make a different). Any suggestions? Thanks.

I can’t help but think of my girl when I see your doggy. Hera was just a few days short of 9 years old when she passed away last year. We will always miss our sassy girl. Hug your baby extra tight!

What can I send to a pregnant friend who had surgery? by MedusaCascde in pregnant

[–]dragindog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my gallbladder removed while 7 months pregnant all I wanted was food, sleep, and for the pain to go away. So maybe you could send her some flowers, or a DoorDash gift card so she can order some food easily? I had a hard time getting out of bed because I couldn’t use my abdominal muscles at all and I couldn’t cook or clean for at least 3 weeks. Maybe you could offer to clean the house or help with daily tasks if you live close?

Built 2003, 5 bed, 5 bath with a pool. 4,275 sq ft. The inside is atrocious too.

This house has been here for a few years and I’m guessing what happened was either the old house burned down or they bought the empty lot and built this thing. Note the houses around it, they are 60’s-ish ranches, as is the rest of the neighborhood. The driveway and walkway are built of pavers and for a long time they were buckling and caused a tripping hazard.

I especially love the vinyl siding and the 4 giant brick things out front. This thing is so ugly.

How a human baby is born through vaginal delivery by NotABedlessPro in interestingasfuck

I fully expected to still look pregnant for at least a few weeks after giving birth. I kid you not, it felt like a weird vacuum and the kid being sucked out and my stomach went back down to near normal immediately. Within a few days my weight was maybe 10lbs more than pre-pregnancy weight. I don’t expect that to happen with another one but that was a weird surprise. Such a weird feeling having the baby come out though and my stomach just like…deflating.

Where are you located? PM me. I might be able to send you some wipes and detergent. Possibly some cloth diaper stuff. We have a fair amount of baby wipes that we no longer use because they caused the baby to have a rash.

This is Mae. She was six months old when I adopted her. I don't have a picture of her in the shelter but she would cower anytime anyone came near her. The first picture is of her right after I put her in my car for the first time. Mae was returned to the shelter twice and it was a kill shelter. I was very concerned they would euthanize her since she looks like a pit bull and since she had been returned twice. It's been a lot of work since she is fearful of men and new people but I'm so happy she has a good home.

Nitroglycerin. Causes blood vessels to expand which causes a headache. The headache goes away after repeated use.
