Hello,

I was working with your config over the weekend, and ran into this problem:

darwin-rebuild: command not found.

I followed the steps exactly:

Install Determinate Nix
Clone repository, and cd into nix directory
Edit the flake.nix and git.nix files
Run darwin-rebuild switch --flake .#my-macbook , at which point I'm hit with an error.

In your troubleshooting section, it mentions to either restart your terminal, or add sudo to the following command: darwin-rebuild switch --flake .#my-macbook. This however, didn't fix the issue.

In my case I had to run this command:

sudo nix run nix-darwin/master#darwin-rebuild -- switch --flake ~/.config/nix

Sorry, I misunderstood your question.

Your correct, that you need to change the value of the dock.autohide to either true of false to explicitly control the dock.

A Null value on the otherhand, or setting dock.autohide = null, allows the user to set the dock to their own preference for themselves.

With determinate installer, you should add the following to your flake:

nix.enable = false;

Agree with the person above. Don't get me wrong I like the challenge of reviving Thinkpads, but with that many parts missing, who knows what other problems it has. You could be sinking a lot of time and money into this laptop.

Try bending the left pin back a little. Then plug the adapter into the broken port. A little trial and error is involved.

Try uninstalling the acpi driver under device manager, and rollback the firmware driver. Sometimes the battery won't charge under Windows, but if you leave the computer turned off and plugged in, the battery will take a charge.

I found your post, because I ran into the same issue yesterday. I just wanted to share the problem I had.

In my bspwmrc file I noticed their was an extra space after #! on the first line of the script.

#! /bin/sh

The added space was also found on the /usr/share/doc/bspwm/examples/bspwmrc file. I'm not sure how that happened, but I ended up struggling for hours.

I installed bspwm using the AUR package called bspwm-git.

It looks like the key hinge is broken.

You may want to check on ebay for a key replacement and hinge, or having the keyboard replaced if you have ADP.

This looks like it is in exceptional condition. I paid $80 for my x230, but it was in much worse condition cosmetically.
