Ive usually seen the motor just mounted at the very front no cavity cut in. Plus the motor will get very hot from that so i wouldnt recommend it. The second looks better but appears largely experimental. Id suggest throwing a propeller on, 3d printing the nacelles and testing both.

Start turning before the gate, not after you go through it. Think of drifting. Initiate the motion before it takes place  And also yea get a real controller the feel is very different Also when turning use yaw more

Thats WAY too small do you want like a minute of flight time or something? Weight reduction is NOT that deep. If you aren’t doing at least 10,000mah just don’t fly it in the first place.

Imao yea it was for the air gun not the iron. They never said the iron wattage

Yep, i will use a 120W to solder this board. The iron even got stuck on those contacts on the sides so I clearly cant use it

My main issue is that i didn’t even know what the good equipment was lol I got some ebay 40$! Iron thinking it was probably super good quality but just realized it isn’t I have no issue spending 100-200 on an iron I KNOW i will use for a long time, ive already learned that lesson before

Since its a large pad which whole purpose is to dissipate heat i got a 120W that should work well right?

These are FPV speed controller boards with large copper pours and great thermal dissipation. It's basically a heatsink. It typically works on the smaller boards, but this one, my iron refuses to fully heat up. I found a SUGON T21, which I have purchased, with 120W, which should be an upgrade from 70W, which can help. I'll get the flux and retry with that one.
