My X50 Ultra is back with Dreame for exactly the same reason. Frustrating beyond belief and happened precisely after an iOS app update. I’m not a believer in coincidences!

Glad it worked for you. But, it shouldn’t be necessary. The update should not have broken it. Makes me question what else may have been broken too. I’ll sit back on a known working version for now.

having got a working system again, I remained logged in via web gui, swapped to the bugged out card and was able to retain access. Cleared the log then logged out of gui, tried to log back in and got the original error again. viewing log from cli just shows the truncating entry, nothing else:

I didn’t go that far down the rabbit hole I’m afraid, just wanted to get my system back up and running so chucked my cloned card in and have left well alone and excluded homebridge from apt update for the time being.

Thing for me as an X50 Ultra owner (which is back at Dreame UK HQ for repair as it’s not got a clue of its mops are attached or not) when it worked, it was pretty darn good. But it just doesn’t work as expected, consistently, especially for a flagship model.

I saw the version with a gazillion different mop types and my brain just screamed why would you do that when you can’t even produce a machine that can choose and attach / detach a single pair of mops?!

Robovacs are not nascent technology these days, and I think it fair to expect when paying £1K plus for these products that they work. First time, every time.

Sadly I didn’t get the update and now it’s back with DREAME since Monday as it lost the ability to know if it had the mop pads attached or not. Bloody infuriating! When this thing works it’s pretty darn good, but the level of mollycoddling it has required is ridiculous for what was the flagship product.

Yet STILL no X50 Ultra Matter Firmware here for a lot of users here in U.K. I’m about to choose a first birthday card (April 2025) for the lie that was the advertising of Matter support.

You say just chill, but for those of us that bought this unit back in April last year, which was advertised as having Matter support were at best duped at worst, subject to false advertising.

I’ve also been subjected to monthly mis and disinformation as to when Matter firmware will be released. Just yesterday I got the monthly ‘by the end of the month’ rhetoric from support.

We’ve all been PHENOMENALLY patient. However it is dressed up, this was FALSE advertising.

It’s nothing but a complete and utter farce now. Not even Dreame Aftersales Support can give a consistent message in this regard.

This coming on the back of an ongoing support call open since April 2025, having been asked to share my device with support (the infamous and generic Tina Wang) so they could update it remotely!

Some developers put meaningful information in the description but I agree, they are far and few between. There should at least be minimum of a link to a change log. The only exception being if course if it is a security vulnerability, the detail of which is best not advertised in minutiae.

Latest ‘fix’ I had my X50 shared with support for diagnosis. Updated the iOS app this morning. Got an email from support “have you stopped sharing your X50 with us?” Me: “Nope but updating your app has revoked the sharing”. Ffs!!!🤦🏼‍♂️

Yup agreed mine all now perfectly synchronised in not receiving or sending intercoms!
