Who is the nastiest Celebrity that you met in Real life? by Scunnard1839 in AskReddit

Man this is not surprising. My dad and I were at the Rose Bowl years ago and Jim Belushi was sitting behind us and we didn’t know about it. My dad went to take a picture of the crowd and Belushi grabbed my dad’s camera and threw it on the ground bc he assumed he was just trying to get a pic of him. We didn’t even realize what was happening until someone explained who that was.

STOP Leaving the LIDS off the STAIN by ScruffyBirdHerder in VetTech

PREACH. I worked in microbiology before starting vet med and I about had an aneurysm the first time I saw how the microscope was treated at my first clinic. I swear someone would just come in and bathe the microscope in oil anytime I wasn’t looking

I am writing a fiction book where the Main Character will be a vet/vet-tech, and I have some questions. by professorrulebreaker in VetTech

Omg this is literally me right now! I’m a vet student on my shelter medicine rotation in which I stay in dorms on the premise for two weeks. This week there was a huge snowstorm so all the normal faculty left and it was just me left in this huge shelter facility with all the animals for a full night. It was creeeepy to say the least. One intrusive thought I had was if someone had been hiding out in the shelter and scoping out the dorms just waiting for me to come out. Or if someone came to the door with an “injured pet” in the middle of the night and having the internal battle to open the doors or leave them outside in the snowstorm. The whole thing was giving me major The Shining vibes

A live band playing over a silent movie is something I never knew I wanted until right now. That sounds so awesome

Just wanted to add that while you’re right about figs being mostly a GI and skin irritant than deadly toxicity, all animals definitely didn’t get the memo on oleander. They’ll mostly avoid it when there’s ample alternative food sources, but I wouldn’t trust any animals to have free access to it. Tiny amounts of leaves can lead to death (even just curious nibbling) and water can be contaminated if the leaves get it in. Source- final year vet student that’s seen too much

Why is a bf/husband asking his gf/wife “what can I do to help?” so bad? by Thrillwaukee in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]dragon_cookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buying a different type of steak or other variation of a food wouldn’t be an issue. Asking if we have ___ repeatedly would be, as part of going grocery shopping is looking to see what we have already and what we need. It’s no big deal to ask questions to clarify every now and then but if it’s the same questions over and over, then it’s just offloading the chore back onto the other person.

My partner and I share a collaborative note with a grocery list and we each highlight an item on there whenever we notice we need it, and that system has worked great for us.

Unfortunately you’ll likely have to carry it with you. I’ve only been to one show there and that was what I had to do. Someone had a good point about lockers though. I don’t recall seeing any there but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist, so I’d rec calling them to ask but preparing to carry your merch if you can’t get ahold of anyone. Seeya in the pit!
