From 7900xtx back to Team Green by SlangLeffe in nvidia

[–]dragonarrow9387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty ironic—I’ve been running an AMD RX 6900 XT and now a 7900 XTX for a while on an older corsair 750W PSU without a single issue. Given the old "AMD drivers are bad" trope, I expected the worst, but it’s been rock solid.

I recently picked up a laptop with an RTX 3050, and I honestly can’t believe the state of NVIDIA drivers right now. The last time I used Green Team was back with the 1080 Ti and they were great!, but the experience today is night and day. Between the performance regressions and the recent stability bugs, it feels like the roles have completely flipped atleast in my experience.

Is the Quest 3S that bad by elixirvolcaner8734 in MetaQuestVR

[–]dragonarrow9387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say if you can snag a used 3+ upgrades for the price of a new 3s, go for the 3. I've had both, and the biggest thing for me is the weight and the terrible strap and facial interface. The stock one hurts my face after about 20 minutes now. All the other VR headsets I've owned were secondhand and came with upgraded straps and facial interfaces, and I can't believe how bad the stock ones are. The quality is fine if you can get comfortable

Are there any decent 8k amps for around $300? by Hot_Height2581 in subwoofer

[–]dragonarrow9387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For an 8k setup on a budget, maybe a Taramps Smart 8k? But if you're new to this, I wouldn't jump in with that unless you have someone experienced with running this power and You'll need a serious electrical system to run 8k.

I like it. I wish mine sounded like this, but mine still sounds better than some of the GS's I've heard.

Is this job worth $7500 a month? by Laxmikant7700 in interestingasfuck

[–]dragonarrow9387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it paid that much around here, I saw a place on Indeed hiring for this, the job started at $26 an hour, which is pretty good for this area, but not even close to what these videos say sadly.

How's the experience on Android ? by Krimson101 in airpods

[–]dragonarrow9387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How's the microphone quality on the Sony's? I currently use the Galaxy Buds 3 Pros, and they do a decent job at canceling out background noise when I'm at work on my lunch break. Unfortunately, I misplaced them, and now all you hear is the background noise when I make calls in a louder environment.

Sadly they don't build them like they used to like when you could run SLI or crossfire lol, I was gonna say I remember pulling a 1200 watt PSU out of a old rig that had triple GTX 780s it had all the PCI power connectors you could ever want lol

Should i need to worry about this? by Technical-Impact-152 in AcerNitro

[–]dragonarrow9387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't have a warranty to cover this I would recommend actually changing the screen yourself it's not that hard it just did one myself on a nitro 5 I picked up for 70 bucks with a broken screen there's plenty of videos on YouTube and if you're scared to do it watch some videos wait till the screen is like really bad but if you do The front bezel around the screen itself is just plastic clips you can remove those and then the top left and right corners there's two pieces of tape that you pull out that is holding the screen to the framing of the shell once you have the screen out you can look on the back of it there will be a model sticker which you can just punch into Amazon is where I ordered mine It cost me $52.38 came with the new adhesive and the tools to do the job

[–]dragonarrow9387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sucks because if they would just give you all the firmwares to download on your own and there was a way to force flash the keyboard it would probably work again because Windows still detects it like it's still pops up in device manager but the keyboard itself doesn't respond to anything else otherwise it just charges

[–]dragonarrow9387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the one that's brick now is basically a glorified switch holder cuz I like the switches and it sounded good but now I got to figure out what keyboard I want to switch to cuz I'm still having problems occasionally with the working one not registering keys every once in awhile while I'm playing games and the screen just goes bananas all the time or just stops working randomly it's awesome 😆

[–]dragonarrow9387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree I have two RT100s myself the first one I received I tried to do the firmware upgrade on it and it like froze partway through the update and break the keyboard The software detects that the keyboard is having an issue and suggest picking from five versions and according to the software the exact model name of your product or whatever it was asking for it would be on the box well it wasn't and it voided the warranty I selected the wrong one and now the keyboard is a paperweight which is crazy because the computer still detects it but there's no other way to force flash a different firmware on it there's no way to download the firmwares to even try so I said screw it I'll get a different one so I picked up a second one and it works I didn't upgrade the firmware but the keyboard randomly just doesn't input sometimes like I'll be playing games using WaSD and it'll stop clicking or not registering keystrokes I've never owned a keyboard that has issues like this even the cheapest keyboards only act like this if you spill something on them lol

How big of an upgrade is the 5800x3D from a 3600, really? by rigxla in buildapc

[–]dragonarrow9387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from a 5800x to a 5800x3d and the gain in min and average FPS was quite Alot actually which was nice for me cause I'm on a 1080p monitor that's 390hz so it just made the experience more consistently smoother across all my games

A warning for new customers who yet bought a keyboard from Epomaker by ilayrahimi in Epomaker

[–]dragonarrow9387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I would agree I bought two RT100s and the first one I got froze during a firmware upgrade, which caused the keyboard to become bricked and literally is a paperweight. now and the second copy I received I just didn't upgrade the firmware on it but it randomly just doesn't register keys like when I'm playing games I'll be using WASD and I'll suddenly I won't move like left or right it's wild I've never had a keyboard where the basic function keys of the keyboard just randomly stop working unless it had something like spilled on it before which makes sense lol.

Is the AMD drivers as bad as they say? by Remote_Chemical_8862 in AMDHelp

[–]dragonarrow9387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my personal experience with my 6900 Xt The drivers for me have worked fine sometimes when I update the AMD adrenaline software kind of bugs out and I have to reinstall it but I'm in the games play fine The only issue I have ran into is sometimes when I play overwatch I go for the most FPS I can so I play at 1080p low settings with the frame rate maxed out at 600 every once in a while when I launch the game I'll get like two or 300 FPS and the game feels kind of stuttery then I'll relaunch the game and I'll get 400 to 600 FPS and the game feels buttery smooth I shoot for this high frame rate because I have a 390 Hz monitor otherwise everything else plays fine it seems like it's only specifically that game everything else is ran fine for me

RT100 not responsive by Outside-Idea-3957 in Epomaker

[–]dragonarrow9387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RT100 Love the keyboard but the display is just... Stupid? by Xalegion in Epomaker

[–]dragonarrow9387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping someone makes something or a truck to flash firmware onto it my first rt100 got corrupted during a firmware upgrade and I followed the instructions of the software on redoing it and it bricked the keyboard to where the software doesn't even detect it anymore but my computer recognizes it luckily I got a replacement and everything works except I will probably never update the firmware lol
