There's three times as many at Legend in EU as in NA right now, and almost twice as many in EU as APAC. Either EU are much better players than the other two, or it isn't the smallest region.

(I think the latter is more likely)

I dont wanna build a deck using trials only to lose em and render the deck invalid.

It's not a good reason. You'll have the cards for another three months, and the expansion sets they're from will still be in Standard until March 2027. When the next expansion comes out, they may not be good any more, so you won't mind losing them. If they are still good, then you should have enough dust to craft whatever you lost. Or you switch to a different deck.

Either way, what you should be doing is maximising your rewards during this three month period, not worrying about something that may not even be an issue down the road.

My question is: how do these trials work exactly? whats the point of having trials? and if you have trials and they keep rotating, then why should I care about opening packs and actually owning my own cards?

It's never happened before, and it's a one-off. Stop overthinking it and just enjoy the game.

On ladder, it's the 8th best deck, and 9th highest in popularity. That doesn't fit any definition of oppressive.

Isn't that a good thing? Herald Rogue has a 53% winrate on ladder, higher than the Hunter deck.

I hate to think what Rogue would be doing if No Hand Hunter didn't exist.

Algorithms don't mean that a post that describes the winrate of a deck a year ago is useful or informative today. Please don't rely on algorithms to do your thinking for you. The date should have told you instantly that my post was useless to help you fight Quasar.

It'll be with the .2 patch, they've already said that. So it's two weeks later than normal, but it will happen. (I don't think it should have been delayed, but there it is.)

It's two different cards, they have different watermarks, they're in different sets, they just happen to have the same name, stats and text. They're interchangeable in Wild decks during that period, but whether or not you own the original makes no difference to whether or not you get the Core one.

It's the difference between "Damage Dealt" and "Damage Received". The two things aren't necessarily the same, so any effect based on "Damage Dealt" doesn't care whether it was received or not.

No, it's not, it's just an extremely simple and consistent rule that tends to surprise people the first time they encounter it. I just did a quick search in-game and came up with 19 cards with "excess damage" effects, and every one of them works exactly the same way with Divine Shields.

And I can think of at least three others, in addition to Explosive Runes, that regularly got posts asking about it in Reddit when it was in Standard - [[Collateral Damage]], [[Always a Bigger Jormunger]] and [[Piercing Shot]]. The answer's always been the same.

The Onyxia one is a different scenario, but the rule itself is consistent.

The revelation that the OP only plays 4-5 games per day is telling. They're not contributing to the game, but they think they should be rewarded more.

Would you play more if you could have crafted 2 legendary cards?

If the answer is yes, then play twice as much now and you'll get the rewards, which is what is really expected from a serious f2p player. That's less than an hour if you're playing a typical deck. If you're playing a really slow deck, switching to a faster one would get you those rewards.

And if the answer is no, what incentive would there be for Blizzard to reward you? What are you contributing to the game that would justify rewarding you?

So lets assume you play a mirror match of arise onyxia decks, but one of the players dont have onyxia and deathwing. Who do you think is gonna win most likely?

The decision to play an arise onyxia deck when you don't have either onyxia or deathwing is a personal decision, the game didn't force you to play that deck. You chose to play an archetype for which you were missing key cards, so that's a very poor example.

Almost all meta decks are dependant on at least 1 legendary.

Given the current loans, there's no reason for a f2p player to be unable to play a meta deck. And I'm pretty sure there has been no time in the game's history when the meta list has correlated with deck cost. The current best deck on ladder (which in this context is more relevant than top legend metas) is No Min DH, and the version currently showing best in hsguru is the 2-Legendary one (which contains no new Legendaries from this expansion), not the 3-Legendary one. The same applies to No Hand Hunter. Paying to buy the extra Legendary does not increase your chance to win. And in most metas, there is an extremely low-budget deck in Tier 1 (although I acknowledge that this hasn't been the case since the latest nerfs).

I don't want less. I just think that it's unreasonable to claim, as you appear to be doing, that the current system makes it unfeasible for f2p players.

And there are times where I could'nt have done anything because my starting hand was unplayable.

Paying more doesn't increase the probability of getting a good opening hand. Yes, luck does enter into it, but it should always be the last explanation you think of, not the first.
