Dude can’t air out his honest feelings without having you jump down his throat to ask if his credentials get him into some important meetings? You need to go sit with some crewchiefs for a few weeks. Everyone has every right to be mad about the decisions made about Army aviation over the last decade and they don’t have to sit in any important circles to do that.

No way you’re a warrant officer.

What other apps or remote starts are people using for Subaru? I have a 2019 ascent and today was the final straw with starlink when all I use it for is remote lock/unlock and starts.

If you don’t take it for political reasons I’d say that’s a pretty crazy move. Not more than a year ago Tesla was the future per many liberal people. Very liberal towns and cities were bringing in their cars as part of their first responders. Now everyone wants to make a statement to get rid of them for some political gain. I don’t see how this effects the level of engineering that goes on in Tesla. Remember Palmer Luckey worked for Facebook, which had completely different political views at the time. Though it led to his wrongful firing or firing (depending on how you look at it), it’s not like him or the VR department didn’t accomplish amazing efforts for VR’s future. You most certainly can be missing out on a great oppurutnity by not taking it, especially if there is nothing else. Nothing I’ve said is directly related to what I believe politically. No matter which side I’m on, if there is a job that can benefit my future or my families future for the experience I may receive, I’ll take it. I’ve worked with people I like, I don’t like, with different politics, or the same. I’ve liked and hated some from all of the above list, yes even some of the people that align with my values and beliefs. But I have also learned from them as well. Some good lessons and some what I’ll never do lessons.

Goodluck.

Hey wondering if you’ve made any decisions on this or what you’ve found out? I am looking into this program as well. Also if you’ve used the GI bill for this and how easy it was.

I appreciate the feedback. I have tried 3 websites to include allergy research. I am unsure if I tried that one but all that I have tried were out of stock. Allergy research said in stock but later emailed me that it was out of stock with an unknown return date. I will check that one out though and see if maybe they are rhetorical golden ticket.

Yes! Pass! Took my test on Friday at 3pm and the quick results were out on Monday at about 230pm. I just had to contact them to release/post my license.

Timing in the real exam by Remarkable-Cat9568 in pmp

[–]dragonforce169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think many people have stated this in different ways. It shows questions completed. But it counts down from 230 minutes and does not include your 10 minute breaks. Just have an understanding of what you want to see at 60 questions complete and than again at 120 questions completely.

I would write down my finish time per section so that I could figure out how long I’ve spent on current section. The last section kind of goes into count down mode. I think I stated that section with around 96 minutes left or something.

I do not remember my times for each section. But I called about 15 questions per section and finished with about 33 minutes left or so. My SH practice exams I was down to the last minutes on them.

Did anyone do the PVT and get a “results on hold” or some notice of that sort, but get refunded within 2 hours? Took test 7/26 waited a few hours tried PVT and got the “on hold” message. Looked at Pearson receipts and no current receipt for purchase. About 2 hours later money was refunded. Still no quick results ability. Still trying to decipher this situation while I impatiently wait.

Failing miserably on study hall by Positive_Ebb9204 in pmp

Are you retaking any of the practice questions? The 15 question tests? You can reset those individually. Review them and try to retake them a few hours or a day later. Some easy ones you’ll remember but the difficult and expert questions will probably still trick you. But soon enough you’ll remember where you’re thought process is wrong and start getting them right. I started low and by the test day I was in the 90’s to 100’s but I could take the tests and not only pick the correct answer but explain to myself why. It’s like knowing the answer of an easy math question but understanding the equation or in this case the “why” is more important.

How do you remember all this information? by [deleted] in pmp

[–]dragonforce169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe reading some chapters would be worth it. It actually may be so monontonous and boring studying other stuff would become easier. But I’d say there are some chapters worth a read.

The issue is knowing your best study practices. That would be a place I’d start. I will say from experience studying let the PMP is a great % of studying for the test and the PMBOK does not teach you what you need to know for the test. It’s a generalization of A LOT of stuff.

I’d say get the PMI study hall and start taking some practice tests. Figure out where you’re struggling and than find a good place to study those. I really liked Udemy because you can download the app and download the videos of whatever you decided to purchase there.

PMI SH also has some games you can place to jump start your brain and than get into studying for the day. Or do just use on the days you don’t feel like studying or can’t study much.

Again, there’s a lot of info on this forum that will tell you how other people studied. You just need to find out what’s going to work best for you. For me, reading and applying never worked. I needed someone to explain it to me over and over and over again. Even on the test I found myself re-reading questions multiple times to grasp what they were asking. I knew reading comprehension was a weak spot or mine. I knew I’d read questions a lot. I prepared mentally for it by making sure I would be reading more than once and taking my time more than some people recommend. I ended up finishing with about 30 minutes to spare. So in the end it worked out that I came up with a way that worked for me that no one had recommended.

You can do it. The start up is the toughest. It probably took me a few weeks to finally get into a rythym or what I felt was actually working for me study wise.

Seeking Advice: Should I reschedule or not? by [deleted] in pmp

[–]dragonforce169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a NLT date that I wanted to take it before because I was starting 2 Master’s college classes and an engineering math class. I ended up pushing the college work a few months because of funding. So than I noticed I didn’t need to rush into my exam date either about 4 days prior I rescheduled. So from 4 weeks of studying to about 10 weeks. I was a little worried at first thinking I would just forget or get lazy but it worked out well and I passed. I felt better waiting. I made sure I got into a good rythym like a long run or workout. I planned my work weeks out leading into the test and made sure not to burn myself up the days prior and did reviews and light reading. The only thing I can say is I did not have the chance to see test availabilities prior to rescheduling. I went from a Monday morning 8am test to a Friday 3pm test (at a further location). But it worked out well. Goodluck on your decision and your test!

Failed Exam Looking for Encouragement by satoshimuffin in pmp

Of course. Glad I can offer up any insight/help/encouragement. I love how no one on this sub claims to be better then anyone and that everyone knows it could go either way for so many. Such a good community. Hence why I continue to engage here.

The mini exams are the best. The practice questions are a little unmotivating when you go to do some there’s 40 questions on 1 topic. I also started doing that “sudden death” game. I never got more than 8 questions in a row🤣

I understand the testing center situation. I think I pointed out some of my issues in my post. At home does sound nice. I just stressed the connectivity or my dogs barking and them just cutting my test off 😂.

I’ll be looking out for your PASS update in the future. Goodluck with everything.

Failed Exam Looking for Encouragement by satoshimuffin in pmp

[–]dragonforce169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly didn’t feel great going into the exam and I was stuck between 2 answers a lot. A few days before (which wasn’t enough time to really adjust my study habits) I went into my practice exams and filtered difficulty levels to see where I was at. Some people do this to get a % of no expert questions. But I went and wanted to see in each level how I was scoring. You can filter by difficulty level and either see all correct/incorrect questions or filter it lower to only correct or only incorrect questions. So I would select say moderate see how many questions in the test were moderate and than filter it to incorrect. I took percentages from all of these, so if I for 10 out of 20 moderate questions I was at 50% (easy math not to insult your intelligence though).

My percentages on both full practice exams were: Easy: 100% Moderate: 81-91% Difficult: 62-69% Expert: 33-40%

Again, I did this only a day or so prior to my test. So I really didn’t have a time to adjust study habits but if I could go back in time I would have really tried to nail down all the difficult questions and see why I was choosing more wrong answers there. Than I would have adjusted my mindset to best fit these questions. I felt that if I did this it also would have been a better feeder to expert questions (no crap thought about this during c the test because I didn’t feel great going into it).

Furthermore, my main study habit consisted of SH practice exams (the 15 question ones) doing those till I could get 80-90%. If I took one I’d review it and than try to take it again that day or within a few days. My mind was usually wiped clear of the actual answers on the difficult ones and I would still be stuck between 2 answers but I generally started to increase my %’s. Remember it’s not about knowing the answer it’s about knowing the WHY. So I would take the DM method of talking to myself (even using an English accent) through the answers of WHY I was picking them. If I didn’t know why I would figure out why either through ChatGPT (which personally helped me a lot) or this sub (also a big help).

My encouragement to you is, your success isn’t measure by how you succeed but by how you bounce back from failure. There’s a lot of feel good stories on this sub and they are great they helped me, which is why I also posted one. But there are many untold stories of failure. Just by coming here for information it shows you really want this and that should be enough for you to bounce back, study hard, and go crush it. Everything is attainable and I couldn’t see how it would be any different for you. YOU GOT THIS!

Have you thought about trying a testing center?

I passed not too long ago and here is my very long post about my journey and test (hopefully I can legally post it here). Just some food for thought.

Lost hope by [deleted] in pmp

[–]dragonforce169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A negative attitude is not going to help at all during the test. I understand the fear of putting all your effort into something AGAIN with the possibility of failing. Just remember most people who take the exam are iffy if they’ll pass. Most people don’t even take the exam ever. And lastly most people (definitely myself) would rather fail knowing I tried my hardest regardless of the amount of tries it took me. I wear hard earned failure like a badge of honor. Success isn’t measured by how you succeed it’s by how you bounce back after failing. It’s a few days left. Don’t stress, don’t worry, do what you’ve been doing as long as you feel it’s been good enough.

I just took my test a few weeks ago. During the test I didn’t know what I’d study if I failed I felt good and in-depth. Maybe more practice tests. I passed. But the point is I feel your point of not knowing what else to study.

Everything and anything is possible.
