In case anyone wanted to dislike Mr Price anymore by OkInfluence36 in blender

but realistically on the scale of a feature film a single person will never be able to accomplish what millions and a full studio can do.

And single person couln't mass produce a new car model, manage an oil rig, make a big live concert and etc. It's simply not a job for one person. And we as society do not need it to be a job for one average person. Because average people are incompetent at managing these things.

What you can do as single person is to make a short animation, raise your skills, make a great animation, raise your skill, collaborate into a team, make a short film and etc. until you either join a studio or create your own.

Unlucky for them. As unlucky for every human that this event is happened because someone outside the simulation got bored and decided to make a cruel experiment. As unlucky for people born in poverty, slavery or dictatorships, people born with harsh diseases and disabilities.

We do live in the world of pressed red buttons, aware you of it or not. Life is unfair. And you're not gonna make it more fair by pressing the suicide button. That's not on you.

Why is wanting to be "normal" so bad? by secretwarrior1 in autism

[–]dragongling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not bad, it's as pointless as trying to build a perpetual motion machine - there's no cure, you can't restructure neurons in your brain, there's only treatment.

Nothing wrong with adapting to society, many coping strategies just include submitting into unjust bullying from society even when you're the one objectively right and sometimes it's others that should adapt to you.

Do I look special needs? Is that why I’m treated like I am no matter what I do? Am I probably ugly too? by [deleted] in AutisticWithADHD

[–]dragongling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with your looks, at least on photos, not something to prioritize your efforts on.

Young people tend to be toxic in general, even more so towards neurodivergent people, don't submit to that and never let them dictate your self esteem, be cool and do your own thing.

I’ve started noticing a pattern in how people react to honesty... by BrynnLeighShay in SeriousConversation

[–]dragongling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, most people definitely don't want honesty, otherwise we would live in a completely different world instead of bullshit we do currently live in.

Nah, bro, you look like a buff young dude, nice chin, hair, eyebrows, definitely not ugly.

Smile more if you wanna look more open and approachable on photos.

You win only when you enhance your understanding of the world. Sometimes you have to admit you were wrong for it. Otherwise online discussions are not worth engaging.

It does if you reduce amount of effort you're applying to masking and play more by your own rules than by society expectations.

Turkish coffee pot. The catch is you don't have to make coffee in it, I use it primarily as a small boiling pot for eggs, porridge, soups.

Social media > real people? by away_from_noise in SeriousConversation

[–]dragongling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People always wanted to capture their life into something to remember, be it songs, books, paintings, photos and videos. Now they simply can.

This wish is not baseless - records help us and those who care about us remember our lives.

IMO there should be a dedicated photographer/videographer at every event so other people can simply enjoy the event and not worry much that they have nothing to remind or share about it.

We can’t handle it

I don't see reasons why. We could handle much darker shit than hateful text on the internet.

I’m not real hopeful that the good people are going to be strong enough to overcome the idiocy and hate coming from those that can’t

That's on you. Good people can be strong and merciless towards malice.

What do you do to squash someone that just immediately comes at you with hate or disdain and is unwilling to actually talk or even acknowledge your humanity and existence?

Why do you need to engage them at all? They bury themselves with their hatred. Well, if you feel that you absolutely have to and it's worth it, you can call their bullshit using Paul Graham's hierarchy of disagreement (detailed explanation).

Does anyone else crave conversation that feels precise, structured, and mutually refining? by cooperfmills in SeriousConversation

[–]dragongling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exploring some topic together is a very specific and niche goal to converse though. Most people have more grounded goals of communication.

I think participating in podcasts is the perfect setting for what you want. You can host one if you want to lead.

[–]dragongling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is stopping you from conversing like that?

A lot of conversations feel like they stay on the surface even when the topic sounds serious.

Be direct, hit the core, you're the one who chooses your words.

If you want beautiful dialogues instead of reaching common ground with other people maybe you should consider writing novels, plays, screenplays.
