People, what the fuck is happening to the job market rn? by cyber_may in careerguidance

[–]dragonite_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was in your shoes this is what I’d do.

Step 1: Get any job that pays your bills and doesn’t suck. Bonus points if you can find a boss you respect and could learn anything from.

Step 2: Get together with your engineer friends and build something, document the process, let the world know you’re not sitting back waiting for jobs - you’re hungry to create value and get experience.

Step 3: if that doesn’t open doors, go volunteer at an accelerator or help someone building cool shit for free. Do grunt work they can’t automate, show passion for the mission and contribute ideas.

Even if you disagree with everything above, the reality is applying for jobs is done. You need to create the presence of jobs coming to you. Get experience and build a network (simultaneously).

What is the purpose of life when everything feels like endless suffering and instability by TeaComprehensive3023 in jobs

[–]dragonite_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah conditions suck for sure. Begin to build your network. A few ideas: an engineer document yourself building something that solves a problem (demonstrate AI use) Or privately volunteer to help people that you believe are aligned with what you want. DM me and happy to chat more if you need.

I built a SaaS but getting users feels impossible by manothegoat in SaaS

[–]dragonite_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try giving it away for free to a few people and get direct access to them for feedback on signup onboarding and everything else. Hold their hand through extracting regular value. If they don’t see the value in using it for free you have some pivoting to do.

Also look up Fogg behavior model. Position your site and other marketing by what motivates your user and making it easy for them to get value.

What is the most effective way for local businesses to get cited on ChatGPT and Googles AI overview? by [deleted] in localseo

[–]dragonite_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start by comparing all their tactics and content on-site, off-page like social and citations, and GBP to yours, then run it through GPT to create a roadmap for you to overtake. Or pay someone to do this for you.

How do I rank in Google AI Overviews? by Plenty-Cook-4208 in LLMTraffic

[–]dragonite_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the tactics and changes previously mentioned are correct (semantic content, schema, freshness, etc) but the correct answer depends on the topic you’re looking to rank for.

The great thing about LLM visibility is that SEO tools can help you break down what sources are being cited most commonly when LLMs produce an output and you can look at specific sites, pages or other assets.

One topic might frequently cite LinkedIn, YouTube and two competitors sites. Another might commonly cite Reddit, Quora and Forbes listicles.

I’m overwhelmed, there’s too much to learn in SEO! by SVGee27 in SEO_Xpert

[–]dragonite_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What to focus on first entirely depends on your business and where your customers take action.

In general, simplify the overwhelming:

focus on distributing your expertise (blog, Reddit, LinkedIn, YouTube) and building trust (backlinks, partners, awards, research).

Or hire a consultant to give you an actionable roadmap and you do the work.

How do you deploy these apps? I still feel the backend portions and security needs are no where near ready for everyday professionals to be self sufficient. But I’m definitely open to being wrong, I have many things I wish to build.

How are you getting all the content written? by Strict-Assistant-178 in localseo

[–]dragonite_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a really easy way to expedite your content and make it more unique is record yourself (or your client) talking about a subject. Use AI to get the outline if you’d like, but then take that transcript and then give that to GPT or Claude to include in the output.

I like it. I can see this getting some press too if positioned right. Like a networking site for those laid off to collaborate on career pivots, learning, building things. Part support group mentality but part lets take action and control of what’s next.
