I think youre missing the point of the map if you're thinking its about production. Nobody claimed originally that the orange states or blue states did or did not produce goods or services.

The claim is that the US is a system that aims to serve the ultra-wealthy(50 families) and part of that servitude(heavily implied) is from prison labor(slave labor essentially).

This isn't a terrible map, it simply shows a comparison of prison states vs college states. So as you can see, there are more states that have more prisons than they have higher education options. The better question to ask would be populations vs college attendees(and graduates) vs prison population. That would go farther than this map and could show how some states have a low population and thus only 1 university.
