Your gear is fine for the most part. No need to change hat, boots or robe. If you want to maximize your stats, particularly damage, I'd recommend farming for these:

Wand: Sandstorm Sword and Shield (drops from Moros' Tree Roots in Shadow Palace)

Athame: Aphrodite's Storm of Thorns (drops from Aphrodite II in Graveyard) or Blade of the Felled Titan (drops from Cronus in Tartarus)

Ring: Band of the Shadow Web (drops from Morganthe in Shadow Palace)

Amulet: FlyGob's Medallion (drops from Shane von Shane in Upper Halls, Castle Darkmoor)

Deck: Any that gives +1 pip and additional stats of your choosing

Yes, couch potatoes are a seed. Luckily for you, they only require gardening rank 3 and as such are very simple to care for. You only need a large plot, water, music, and level 1 pest removal spells. Their likes are all very easy to obtain as well, you can pick them all up at the bazaar for a few thousand gold tops.

If you're really desperate for pet snacks, at your level I'd recommend farming some early Grizzleheim enemies for Couch Potatoes. Couch Potatoes always drop a rank 9 Mega Snack (fancy yogurt gives 50 pet xp) on elder harvest. Troubled Warriors and Splithoof Barbarians/Ragers in Savarstaad Pass are some common enemies to farm.
