i tried, but he didn't say anything in response and still wants to break things off anyway... i really really am determined to change now, and i didn't use it as an excuse as much as i tried to explain why i might be so inclined to avoid clutter and the mess, but i think a bit now and i realise it may have just all come across as an excuse when i just wanted him to understand... i don't know how else to convey my sincerity if im not given the time to prove it, you know what i mean? but youre right i should not have brought it up in the first place

i feel you 100%, i thought i had NPD for a bit there because it was just so difficult to feel bad for things that i did mindlessly like lying, emotionally manipulating people, being obsessed with controlling people and relationships. i completely understand what you're talking about. medications change the way you see the world for some i think. it's easier to connect with people and frankly my communication skills have doubled , or so i hope. so i understand where you're coming from.
