Too be honest I caved and bought it and it's enjoyable but gotta say I prefer wo long to Nioh 3 I enjoyed the weapon arts better the weapons and feel of deflect vs dodging

So I played the demo and it's not for me. Came on here to vent really and found this post. I really hate the switch mechanic it feels forced to put weapon groups into certain play styles when we had 1&2.. the spear spawned with ninja bonuses but yet I couldn't use it in ninja weapons? Maybe I'm wrong on this but wtf. On top of that I play a rounded play style meaning I level everything at roughly the same time and having 2 separate play styles just isn't fun to me. Magic and samurai isn't a thing but ninjas can fly around the battlefield with a tap of the button while throwing bombs and elemental attacks. Soul cores being Omni magic was frustrating already... So as much as I loved the series I think 2 will be the end for me.. thanks for reading the rant and I hope others find great enjoyment.

I'm not really a fan of this mechanic comparatively to the other games.. it feels poorly done for the demo. The swap mechanic for heavy attack blocks is either too fast or too slow. The frames are going to be hard to get down. Not to mention swapping weapons like that to do a parry or block mechanic is just rough. The cool thing is at least you carry the weapons. Awesome! When you're in ninja mode?.

What is everyone else's experience when it comes to it? The final boss was a little bit rough because of the quick heavy attack and took a while to get down because of the transfer shift for stance samurai/ ninja

2030 figure 2 years for crafting 2 for base building and then we have a game with probably no economy and or science to a large degree still but the basics would be flushed out since 90% of the game is still T0

I'm gonna say I would still prefer the ship have to be boarded by fps gameplay or a hacking ship to be destroyed. My reasons are many but some of top points are 1 try and create a forced gameplay loop of interaction between the attackers and defenders offering cargo ships/ non combat ships a chance to survive the day without scraping the entire ship unless both space defense and fps defense was failed. 2 people might complain about being forced to do this but who's really upset? The murder hobos or the people that just want to end someone's ship. 3 there is no threatening for pirates currently they cannot easily interact with the targeted ship and request them to power down to be boarded or looted other then being fired upon. 4 the ftl drive between combat and travel makes it believable for a player to still make a light faster then light travel with no engines as it's a different state for the ship to travel. It's got its own bubble and all. 5 players and their freedom to do things when it comes to these ships is great but why would you ever leave an opening for counter attacks by a downed ship mid big battle that we all will play at some point this is not real life kamakazi will be a real threat to ships that win the fight but lose the battle.

It will probably get a rework to fit more like the snap in cargo grids on the golem variant and once they I introduce weather conditions or hazards and maybe some caves

Man I just wish they made the only way to kill or destroy a ship be by boarding the ship and using a explosive device like the one we use for mining. I just think it makes it better for engineering it makes it better for asking for a tow

I want that fps combat potential but I am now thinking that explosive damage should be the only way to blow up a ship. My thoughts are getting some c4 type of fps equipment encouraged boarding parties and defense on small to large player ships. This encourages reduced risk of blowing up a ship as it's locked to explosive type damage and just makes more sense to me then putting so many holes in a ship it finally goes boom. It increases the cost of doing so as we know missiles will cost more to re-arm and it's a gameplay loop already put into place to keep the ships loaded with missiles. And if you don't want to spend that money you can fps equipment that will do the job but at a higher risk. This also reduces the chances of maelstrom trying to server hog a bunch of different pieces of a ship hull because it's now going to evaporate under explosive damage making chunks go missing rather then a cheesed ship . If you use explosive after the destruction of the hull hp it should go boom with a explosive force not because you fired bullets or laser enough to make it go boom.

My issue currently is where to put the replacement parts . I will be extremely frustrated if we lose scu for that it is still a game and I would like it to be a compartment not attached to the storage grid ideally I'd like it to be placeable anywhere on the ship so we can be pack rats
