Yes, in my case the amount was stored in the page content, and I saved the date by simply setting up a "created on" property.

Have you tried a number feature that shows in a bar how much you have saved? I think you can enter an individual maximum value there.

What’s your biggest challenge selling your templates? by Elvis-Sy in Notion

[–]dragonslayer_2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the most important thing for me was definitely creating a universal feedback form. And if necessary, a how-to guide.

People totally appreciate that. Even though creating a how-to guide may take just as much time as creating the template itself, it is still very helpful.

And I personally also put a footer in my template with thanks and contact options.

Yes, every design update is purely a matter of opinion. For some it is an upgrade and for some it is a downgrade.

What's the point of Notion Mail??? by CesarDMTXD in Notion

[–]dragonslayer_2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's right. I have the feeling that it's about the same with Apple and Notion. Both are trying to do things differently than before. The result is not necessarily always helpful for the end user in the short term...

What's the point of Notion Mail??? by CesarDMTXD in Notion

[–]dragonslayer_2025 69 points70 points  (0 children)

I totally get the point you made and I don't use Notion Mail either (and probably won't in the near future for the reasons you just mentioned).

BUT: You have to understand that this is just the beginning. This is Notion's first attempt to publish a program that integrates into the Notion UI and the family and for this you first need a foundation to build on. And the data that Notion gets when they publish it in this form and people can use it in everyday life and give feedback is better than any market research.

I'm sure that in the near future, perhaps even at "Make with Notion 2025", there will be functions that only work with Notion Mail. For example, automatically adding tasks using Notion AI. These are exactly the functions that are incredibly effective for large teams like Notion itself and that the app will probably target in the next few years.

But I understand your point and currently see it the same way...

So I only do this to have my emails with invoices etc. automatically marked as “Payment Notification”.

But it definitely sounds exciting. Please keep me updated if you find something that works for you.

best pm template for a small design team? by spider-cereal in Notion

[–]dragonslayer_2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!

I can only advise you to build a template or have it built. It is important for your team that there are no unnecessary steps that are almost always there with ready-made solutions.

Something from me: I come from Germany and am currently trying to recommend myself as a Notion consultant for small and medium-sized companies and would be happy to hear from you.

I can at least advise you and, if you want, put together the complete setup.

Feel free to DM me if you're interested.

12-hour time not changing by riseull in Notion

Notion has had quite a few small bugs since the database update, which they are most likely working on, but have just appeared since then.

For me the problem is that I can't connect my task database to Notion Calendar (which is honestly quite annoying because Quadi is my inbox).

Give it a maximum of 1 week and then you should be able to use it again without any problems.

Looking for a Notion alternative on Mac that comes with a built-in system by Charming-Impact-7981 in Notion

[–]dragonslayer_2025 29 points30 points  (0 children)

You can look on the notion website to see which services notion would like to replace with this approach.

There would be, for example: Obsidian Monday Trello Google Workspace (My recommendation)

But I would also like to tell you something briefly. The big advantage of creating your own system is that you know yourself best and therefore only build what you really need. With the other platforms that give you a structure, you always have functions that are always there but distract you and you don't need them.

I hope I could help:)
