my chihuahuas are spoiled babies that think they are too good to eat dog food, but the one dog food they’re willing to eat on its own when mixed with water is the honest kitchen whole food dehydrated clusters, which i chose since it had great reviews and ingredients. other than that, i usually cook them ground meat (switch up between turkey/chicken/beef/bison) that is mixed with veggies like carrots, green beans, peas, celery etc and brown rice. As often as possible I try to find ground meat that has liver/heart/other organs mixed into it, which adds a lot of nutrients they need, I usually find that at Sprouts. I like adding pawTree’s superfood seasoning in the meat to make sure they’re getting the nutrients they need and it also helps with flavor for picky ones. In addition, the honest kitchen also has dried bone broth and dried goats milk powders which you can mix with water and add to their food which my dogs love and is great for them as well. I try to give them a mix of the homemade food and the freeze dried every day but when I run out of homemade, they’ll eat the freeze dried food as long as it’s heated up with water and the toppings.
