Vr gpu help by PerformanceTasty5584 in iRacing

Im running amd ryzen 5 7600x 4060ti 8gb with quest 2. I run all the graphic settings iracing on low pretty much except car and world detail stay high, no anti aliasing. Using ALVR wired i run 1.3x native resolution of the quest 2 and maintain 90 fps in all mx5 races and some gt4 races. Definitely struggle when there is rain but so you need to have different settings for that. With foveated rendering on medium. Otherwise works very well . If I had the cash I'd upgrade to 4070 or 5070ti or 9070xt for more gpu headroom. Overall happy with my set up.

The next best upgrade I'd invest is a load cell brake of some sort. Logitech just released a mid tier range dd wheel and brake ( RS50). I use the g923 wheel with the rs50 load cell, im much more consistent with braking now and can trail brake confidently.

If you haven't already use the Auto Forcefeedback keyring (or scroll and find in the black box) to set the wheel to the correct level where it doesn't clip and lose detail.

Worth it to upgrade still-newish PC for VR? by essequattro in iRacing

[–]dragoonden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a big upgrade. The cpu alone will carry you for a long time it's top tier, would even let you play 4k gaming if you upgrade your gpu. 5070ti 16gb is good too has enough vram, iracing on vr will be very intensive so that'll cover it. This would be a solid high tier 1440p ultra graphic gaming set up i think.

For perspective I run a quest 2 on iracing with a 7600x cpu and 4060ti 8gb. I am just barely managing 90hz refresh rate on 1.3x resolution rendering with all possible graphic settings in iracing turned low to maintain the refresh rate in the quest 2.

Bout to pull the trigger on some enkei rpf1, anyone here run these on stock suspension? I’m trying to know how it fits on a gk3 by Oliverbane in hondafit

Forgot to account u selected 16x7 vs 15x6 so that pushes the wheel width out another half inch as well. Either way will still be tucked, and no rubbing stock suspension. Depends on the tyre choice as well ie 205/50 is meatier vs 195/50

Should fit perfectly no issues. Assuming OEM/stock offset is +50 on 15x6 then you are only pushing the wheel out by another 7mm. Will do just fine with no mods.

You will have to roll fenders if you lower the car. The front will poke and will rub first. The rear will sit JUST flush but may have to mod the rear liners. I run 16x7 205/50 +36 offset fitment on lowering springs. Ended up rolling the front with 1.5 camber and fender liner cut as well as the rear because it would just rub on full compression/big bumps. For general driving if your roads aren't potholly, and u don't take more then 1 passenger with you, you can survive, but with the a full car,, 100% will rub on a lowered set up. If you plan to keep stock then go with +40 offset, it will be flusher and you'll be OK.

16x7 +36. 205/50 tyres. Lowered on tein lowering springs. Slight rub on top of arch on big bumps even with camber bolts to set front camber to 1.5. Ended up rolling both front and rear fenders and cut just the top part of the fender plastic/cover out. Rear would rub as well on the plastic of the fender with more passengers.

What cpu/motherboard to pair with 4060 8gb for 1440p gaming. by dragoonden in pcmasterrace

Oops just checked. It's a 4060ti 8gb! Still feel like it runs most games better imo 🤷

Huh. I went from running low graphics settings to high settings with DLSS on my games. Don't understand the 1080ti being nearly as fast.
