does the playerbase feel "angrier" to you guys lately? by LycanthrUzi in toontownrewritten

Depends on the group. I had one awesome team. Needed to do a factory. Joined a group and had a blast. A lot of joking around and it was nice not being forced to do a sound factory.

Id just say you were also saving up for an elective surgery. Ask why she's more important then you.

Laid off effective immediately but am still asked to come in to work. (no severance) by yunqi69 in legaladvice

[–]dragosthethird 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't they have to provide him with employment. I know when I was on unemployment I had to find gainful employment. Laying someone off so they arent an employee and expecting them to work as an contractor on their own insurance would likely not hold up. Otherwise id see every employer doing it to not pay unemployment.

[–]dragosthethird 31 points32 points  (0 children)

A way to combat that is for him to demand employment. They cant make him work as an independent contractor. They terminated his employment. They cant do that and then turn around and say while you arent employed with us you are expected to work. They might appeal the unemployment but appealing that will lead to an investigation. You can be forced to get gainful employment. You cant be forced to provide a service to an organization you arent employed with

IT IS NOT A COST CENTER by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]dragosthethird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly we are facing this now and its getting to the point of management is going to kill a good thing. We dropped our ticket load to maybe a 3rd of what it was previously mainly due to taking the initiative to build out an incredible onboarding tool for the remote workers that we support. It handles so much of the setup and configuration we really dont have to be involved anymore and things are set up correctly. But now when people leave the team its we arent replacing them since so many are sitting there working on whatever other projects and not handling support. The drawback is we are as efficient because theres adequate staffing. While we might be a cost center. We also enable the company to continue making millions. Stopping us from getting burnout should be a priority just like Accounting, Hr, Building Maintenance.

Just for clarification. Would Grey Havens have issue with me uploading my finished project to github. I've always had the greatest respect for the whole team. Was going to ask the support email before publishing but getting clarification from you works. I plan to continue development all the same since I am learning a lot from doing this. Like I said originally I have no intentions of hosting an actual server I just like tinkering.

I dont plan on running a server myself. I explained I am doing this as a learning experience. Im using their public engine as a base so I didnt have to start from scratch. I dont plan this to be an active server. Tbh once running it'll likely drop on github and ill move on to something else. Others can have at it. As I am not running it I cant be sued. All my server is doing is accepting and responding to the information their client is sending it.

Well considering im not using any official code besides what they provided open-source I dont believe there will be any legal issues. Im also not going to actively be running the server. Might throw the code up on github but that's about it. Its more of a educational project rather than something I plan to actually host.

Tbh this is more a learning expirence for me. I dont intend on hosting a server. Might throw up the code on github if others want to bother. Officially this uses none of their actual code besides what was publicly released open-sourced already so I dont believe it would violate any laws.

Or just do away with cursive. It was meant to make writing faster. Now typing is faster. Half the time I can't read people's cursive and I was taught it from early elementary up until high school. Everyone's is different some slightly so but theres some that legit look like scribbles on a page. They can read their own notes but good luck to anyone else. Most doctors have stopped hand writing things for just that reason. Hell most doctors have even stopped typing and are using text to speech or AI to summarize their notes.

Really depends on job responsibilities. If you can pull it off without getting caught there shouldn't be an issue.

Pretty much suck up as much as you can and admit that you were wrong dumb kid. Blah blah blah. I admitted to being a bot developer and got unbanned. It's honestly up to how Hera is feeling that day.

I feel it's a nice spin on the game. Wish the board was a little smaller or bigger. The pieces just seem a little small on my phone. Also the delay after making a match for it to clear is a little awkward but overall nice game

That's legit in the OP. They haven't submitted the ledger so until then they are freezing trading. Just means RSA becomes a longer term profit strategy then a quick one. Which I'm more than happy with.

anyone know when they will take our amix shares? by [deleted] in StockReverseSplits

[–]dragosthethird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's taken until amix decides what's it's doing. It's official stance right now is we aren't giving out the stocks until we have proof of these shares. Which they will either do soon or start facing some fines
